1892 Sinkhuis Restaurant

After 6pm smokers can sit wherever they like, even in the no-smoking area. This was the second time i took it up with management. It used to be a nice restaurant but the recent clientele is off-putting

Good food and excellent service.
Waiter and management assisted with preparing food for me in the correct manner - to cater for a food allergy I have.
Well done. Will visit the Sinkhuis again

Well looked after restaurant with a feeling of calmness and prosperity for nature and human activities waiters make you feel at home

Average place for pub & grub food.
My steak was done as I liked it.
Chicken breasts were average.
Service was good.

(didn't see menu, since we were there for a specific special, so I can't comment on the selection)
Devor/Ambiance can feel a little bit "thrown together", that mostly asts until you take a few deep breaths, and realise that you are not cramped, space, in busy central Pretoria (not CBD, but still churning)
Beware, parking is outside the premises. Be responsible and security conscious. Available parking on the opposite side of the road, be safe, KEEP KIDS SAFE (cary, hold hands, no running), cross the road calmly, avoid running (and remember, Look both ways, RIGHT-LEFT-RIGHT.

I'll update when I have more experiences to inform my opinion. So far, recommended.

Nice family friendly place. Great food' value for money and awesome vibe. The owner and staff are very friendly and deliver great service.

Great restaurant to have a nice kuier with friends! The layout is also nice and spacious so you can enjoy conversations without too much background noise. The parking is a bit dodgy though, keep your valuables stowed away out of sight.

Not impressed! Waited for half an hour, NO service. Place deteriorated, dirty. No one to help or seat you. Not recommended

Such a fun little restaurant and pub. We had their Friday night specials, Ribs and T-bone.what a great deal, excellent value for money! It was quiet when we were there but I hear that the pub can get quite festive.

Food here is absolutely great especially the Club Sub would definitely recommend for families or for the food

Very busy and lively place, but the Food is GREAT, and service exceptional, if you don't like the noise there is space outside to sit aswell.even though it's so busy, you still don't wait 40 min to receive your food, their quite quick and organized.

Very nice atmosphere, spot on for its patrons. Not pricey, food slightly inconsistent. Excellent eisbein and pork chops bit chicken prego was bad - no periperi available and lemon and herb sauce was artificial and not great.

Food was avarage. Staff friendly. A lot of flies! I asked the waitor for a citronella candle they did not have. The waitor told me that apparently a lot of people complain about it, but the owners do not buy citronella oil for the lamp?

The toilet where very dirty. The skurtings in the kitchen DIRTY. FLOOR DIRTY!
It was my 1st time here. Never again!
Walk Trough the building and look around the fridges and floor.

Don’t complain about the service, because there is no service. Waiting for 45-60 minutes for an order arrive. Poor show! Up your game.

My first time had a sinkhuis burger with chips and a brandy special.not to shabby.will definitely make a turn there again.

Gewoonlik is die diens goed. Laaste keer wat ons daar geeet het, was diens uiters swak gewees. Moes n kelner gaan soek om ons te help. Daar het nog mense gekom, wat ook gewag het om gehelp te word. Ons het vir hulle gaan se, dat hulle maar self n kelner moet gaan soek. Kos was gelukkig heerlik soos gewoonlik.

Die Moot is already a unique experience, Die Sinkhuis is a true character spot within this culture - it is really a Zink House from 1800 something! Food is really good (think Tbone) and cheap. Place is also friendly and safe, many of the patrons are locals.
