47I must say this is an awesome piece of software. Read the knowledge base. Watch the training videos and you good to go. If you know how to switch on a pc and move a mouse than setting up will not be difficult at all. Just follow the steps. Do not skip any of them. In terms of support I personally feel it is very very fair that 4pos charges for these. Simply because the software is already purchased at a very reasonable price. The software is been updated with better features for free. Their's no annual/monthly license fees which almost every point of sale company charges. So peeps if you want free support than YouTube it/4pos website) it's not a secret
So far the support has been great if you are a reseller or a customer who is using it you won't be disappointed.
I guarantee you will never see such arrogant, rude customer service in your life.
This company sells software very cheaply, then when you call for support, they charge 950-RAND for half an hour! You pay the money, but they do not take care of you with their uncaring attitude.
Stay away from them if you don't want to be disgraced with your money.
They are very rude.
Stay away, don't fall into their trap!

4POS has now prevented me from using the accounting program I paid for and bought!
Not only did they not provide technical support even though I paid for it, but now they are committing a crime by blocking the program!

Customer service is absolutely shocking. They make you feel guilty for needing help and then just completely stop responding to your queries. Busy looking at new POS systems now, they have lost our business. And Markus, the owner of 4POS, is possibly the most disgusting and self-involved human being I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
The support and after sales support is TERRIBLE no one gets back to you, there is no person that one can speak to, besides a whatsapp number with automated responses. Absolutely shocking worst R2000 I have ever spent. Would not recommend this product or company for your Retail POS needs!
The worst system on earth, so so so so user unfriendly, software makes no sense.you guys take people for granted with useless numbers where no one helps. I’m taking the system back to makro for a full refund. A pure waste of money
Please provide us with 4pos supports details. We have had this system 3 years and it's been a nightmare, we have a external IT companies maintain it. What 4pos needs to understand is the majority of people do not understand the software and as a result thereof it leads to a lot of frustration from our side. We would like discuss this with 4pos directly, kindly provide us with your contact details as the contact details listed on Google do not work or are always off.
I’ve been using the software for 7 years now and have never had a days problem with the software or the support.

You don’t get support from this company. Don’t be fooled buying their software. It’s once again all about making money with support.
Not to bad software, really good effort by the team to update the software often. For those who complain all the time.really, for what you pay its not bad, I have worked on many different POS softwares and this is quite straight forward if you read the manuals and watch the videos. Service as well by the technical team is not bad at all! * THANK YOU GUYS! *
4pos have very good prices and the system is very stable and the support team is very responsive however l recommend improvements on multi currency especially for our setup in Zimbabwe
Product is not bad. Feature rich and updated routinely. Marcus was able to resolve the issue we had.
My personal experience of after sales service from Marcus is not positive. Arrogant and threatens to disable product registration if you dare complain. Not good for business. This type of behavior is highlighted in his responses to negative criticisms.
Marcus needs to hire a professional PR person to deal with the public.
There are multiple reviews which are conflict of interest. Where both current as well as former employee's are giving falsified/ biased testimonies for 4POS. Remember unless you have a degree on how to use a computer, then 4POS isn't for you. You will end up spending money on support from a very rude support person.
This company has sold computers with unlicensed versions of windows 10 on them, claiming them to be a "windows 10 trail". In reality this version of windows was copied over onto numerous pcs thus they all shared the same product key.this is illegal.
I had a genuine issue with my 4POS printer that I bought at Makro. The support guys sorted it out hassle free and in no time. It's good to get proper customer service from a local company, looking forward to doing more business with them in the future.
A genuinely great piece of software. I have just bought a toy shop and it has been easy to get products into the system and ready for the handover stock take. 4POSScan is easy to use and migrate to, even after the store has been on an old, manual system since it opened its doors.
I don't want the below to detract from how amazing this system is, but I have a few comments and suggestions to make to Markus and his team:
However, the one star is lost because of the very poor customer service that comes from the support staff (if I wanted to shame the company I would have given far fewer stars). I understand that support cannot come for free BUT at the very least be nice about it (not just to me - the company's comments on reviews below are evidence that there is an attitude problem). Also, instead of ONLY offering a R450 per TeamViewer session charge, why not also offer a monthly charge (R100-R200pm) for WhatsApp/telephone support where your customers can ask questions when they need to, and THEN if a "dial-in" or an on-site visit is required you can then invoice the applicable amount from there. It's a constant stream of income for you as a company AND you are available when your customers need to ask a simple question. Let's be real here - your manual doesn't cover every little thing, and the odd question here and there for R100pm is doable.
Also, as a company you need to work on your manners and the way you speak to your customers. Passive aggressive and rude comments (like "absolute BS", "Lucky my mother still loves me. ", or "for our clever customers. " doesn't instil or encourage customer loyalty. You can market yourself as the cheapest POS software on the market, but this cannot come at the expense of shocking customer service. At the end of the day, customers will stay where they feel most at home and most respected.
This company's support is absolutely way above average in today's South Africa. In fact I will rate it as 200% +.
With a minor glitch in my learning mode operation, everything else has been working seamlessly and I am really satisfied with the product. It marks a year since I opened my business and I've never needed team viewer support etc. Used the 4pos guide for all things I don't know or for the issues I encountered. Looking back, doing some research on pos systems I was really doubting this system after seeing all the bad reviews but it really is worth the price if you have good computer knowledge, else you should probably take a support contract.
