5 Star Furniture

PLEASE do not let the cheaper prices lure you. We bought a sleeper couch, two lightweight adults under 80kgs, no pets, no funny business on the couch (jumping, falling or storing stuff on it etc), and the couch tore apart within a year. The fabric is shot, the planks underneath where you sit has snapped multiple times and places. Another coffee table we bought has so many rough edges which one can cut yourself on. If the owner wants I can post photos but it looks so destroyed no one would believe this happened within a year of owning (and looking after it properly). Products should not be allowed to be sold to the public when made so poorly.

Sent a whatsapp to confirm stock, they confirmed. When I got to the store they said no stock!

I’m never ordering anything from this store! Staff is very unprofessional and disrespectful! They don’t know how to treat their clients. I have been waiting for my order for days now, every time I call they say my order is on the way but it never gets here

I bought this couch last year sometime. Although it looks good in the picture, it is hard and extremely uncomfortable.

I've never been more excited to fill drawers! While there had been a few hiccups, Donovan came to the rescue and it's like the hiccups never happened at all. I'm so happy with my purchase and the quality and will be purchasing from 5 Star Furniture again in the future.

After months still waiting for refund, I have made several calls and whatsapp, they keep on promising but nothing is done. So annoyed

I am not too happy with the couch I got from this store, I have only had this couch for a month and a couple of days and the cloth covering the couch is already wearing off.

Would I recommend anyone after this experience? I highly doubt!

This is actually upsetting if you ask me, to think I'm not always home nor do I even use the couch that much? And it's already wearing. This is ridiculous.

Very impressed! Our order was delivered on the same day that we ordered it and for the price that we paid for our beside tables, the quality was better than we expected!

I'm very disappointed with the work ethics of this company, I bought a sleeper sofa from them and the arm rest was very weak, I had to report the issue, the owner wasn't pleased and said there is nothing wrong with it it's suppose to be like that, the following morning I took it back as it got worse, I got to the store the employees explained that the arm rest is indeed going to fall off and she said just get someone there to fix it, the employees had a misunderstanding infront of me as the owner didn't want to pay for the transportation to bring it back, it's been 4 days now my sofa hasn't been delivered, I don't even get good responses from the employees as to when I'll get it back, I regret supporting this business, it's just causing me trauma

Worst delivery service Iv ever experienced in my life. The driver dropped the couch at the door and went to tend to other ppl. I had to unscrew a couch and carry it with my baby sister. If you buy anything pls use your own delivery services. Very unprofessional delivery services.

Very cheap-ish furniture store. Some of the furniture looks and feel very cheap-ish. Prices is not bad at all but i don't think it will last a life time. It is more for young couples / students or young persons starting on their own kinda place

Placed an order online & received what I ordered a few days later.
The helpful team assembled my item at no additional cost. Good value for money.

Dishonesty. I asked them if they going to sell us a display and the sales man said no they have stock at the back. Paid and left. When the couches were delivered they were dirty. Not happy at all as we have to clean as if they not new couches

Over promise and under deliver should be your motto. And don’t forget getting the manufacturing wrong even after drawings with measurement were supplied and it was confirmed several times. I wonder what happened to Abram’s come rain or shine we deliver to satisfaction. Prices may be good but i wont support again nor recommend as the treatment and after sales service is non existent

The response is utter rubbish as we have just had a mamza set in royal blue custom made with 2 x 3 seater iso 3 x 3 seater.   do yourself a favour and learn your business or at least look into your orders before shooting rubbish responses from the hip.you have just proved my point.jokes on you

I bought couches from 5 Star in Midrand in Feb. Now in March I discovered a fault and they had promised to come to my house to fix the couches. I waited for them since the 2nd of April 2022 from 9: 30. Till today the 4th of April. Even went to the store and have been calling them since. The service is bad indeed and they lack professionalism. As a client, they should have ensured that they assist me. I would have had an issue if they did a proper job on my couches.

This is an update. On this day, the 8th of April, I received a call from Cylia Van Tonder and it was not a pleasant call. 1st the Manager lied to her about coming out to my house on his off day, then instead of Cylia getting the real story from me, she attacks the customer. Clearly. The Service there is just not on point plus lack of integrity. Why lie as a Manager?

Service wasn't necessary the best but that's due to one employee. Otherwise fairly priced and goof quality furniture

I would like to thank the 5 star Furniture team for assistance with my dissatisfaction. My two couches was replaced with brand new ones. Since there was a problem with my yellow tub it was replaced with another yellow chair of my choice. Thank tou guys for ensuring that I am a happy and satisfied customer. You did walk the ekstra mile for me and I really appreciate it!

The shop Manager is extremely helpful, friendly and has a great knowledge about the furniture sold. The delivery took place exactly on schedule, as promised by the Manager. I am very impressed with this store, the great service and very reasonable prices for reaaly good quality furniture. I will highly recommend this store to anyone.
