This is an absolutely stunning place that was let down by the service received.

We booked the family picnic package. I had received a call the day before arranging all of the times for the picnic and tastings, this was however not on the system and I had to keep coming to reception to ask questions about my package. On complaining about how disorganized I felt they were I was told that I should know what I booked, so they did not see a need for explaining my package and times etc to me on arrival.

I also had to ask about their bicycle trails as my kids had their bikes and were looking forward to riding their bikes around the establishment. This we absolutely loved.

The rooms could do with an upgrade, but they are well sized and comfortable.

The buffet dinner was average, not a wide variety but the service was excellent at dinner.

Breakfast was good until we were chased down with a speed point afterwards asking us to pay for the kids as they are older. My kids are 9 are 5 and no where near 12. Anyway by this point I was so fed up, we paid. We are now waiting for a refund for that payment.

The location is absolutely stunning and the ladies on check out were so apologetic about the experience we had had.

Serious training needs to happen with some of the staff at this place. Autograph Collection standard? Not a chance. Hopefully one day I can get a better experience.

Excellent conference facilities of various sizes, with or without accommodation. Quiet with open spaces and a lake. There were several events at the same time and they never intruded on ours.
Top restaurant and buffet facilities too.

An absolute oasis of peace and quiet. We got greeted by monkeys on our arrival, and met some other during our stay.

The service was very good, the place is amazing (both indoors and outdoors), and you should take a walk around the lake when the sun goes down!

The only thing I would reproach is the staff randomly trying to get in the room when you're in it to leave a chocolate or do the bed, which could be done when they do the room.

Average service from check in to check out. Slow service. No urgency to provide assistance. Won't go back again. Better places available for cheaper.

Felt like I was in a farm far away from the hustle and bustle of city life but still within reach of malls and amenities

This was my second time and I must say this is 5 Star treatment at its best for me. I will keep coming back for what ever kind of stay.

It has been such a lovely experience to at African Pride Irene Country lodge. I loved the dams, the golf course to name a few.it was so awesome.

My husband and I spent a night here (including a picnic, dinner and breakfast) and we really enjoyed it. It was beautiful, the staff were all extremely friendly and the food was very good. We did a milkshake tasting that was okey, but nothing special. I would definitely recommend going here if you want a tranquil break

Absolutely worth it BEAUTIFUL peaceful space in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city Very friendly staff and top quality facilities and food. The room and view was also very impressive

I attended a conference here. It's a cool and calm lodge good for organising conferences or wedding reception. It has a beautiful lake facing the hotel and conferences hall.

It's luxurious.

Great place for a relaxed quiet stay not far from the city! Peaceful location at a little lake, surrounded by the visitor-friendly Irene farm and a pretty golf court.

Warm welcome by the staff (a high-five goes to Maureen!) everywhere on the property. Well equipped bar, awesome for sunset drinks. Rooms are spacious and with great views of the forest or the lake!

Cozy spa with good treatments and a little pool. All in all it was a great, relaxing stay, would definitely come again!

Amazing facility - 5 stars all round - from the rooms to guest relations, kiddies’ club/car, venue, underground link and golf cart drop off to Irene farm - we absolutely loved it!

Rooms and amenities are nice and clean. Great views for trail walks and picnicking.

This hotel is good for families. Consider eating out as an option there are nice restaurants around.

Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.
