As Greek as it gets Pretoria

We had the Thursday night Giro special. Food was delicious, however the salad side add on was a bit pricey. Service is slow but friendly staff.

Visited the restaurant again. Noticeable improvement with service and food was served timeously. The food was very enjoyable. Had a lovely evening. I would recommend As Greek As It Gets

Friendly and welcoming owners. Very accommodating with my mom in her wheelchair. Food and wine offerings are exquisite! Highly recommend this place for casual but substantial dining.

Was just meeting a friend for a drink, but ended up sharing some meze platters, and stayed 2 hours.

The food was tasty and the atmosphere brilliant. As the afternoon turned into evening, the restaurant got very busy, so I do suggest you book if you want to go on a Friday evening.

It did make me feel like I was back in Athenes or Hydra.

I was at the restaurant earlier today and i have to say the review made stating that the rastaurant (staff) is racist is completely false.
I hardly think that being told that you need to pay for food that you ordered and finished is racist.

The food is overpriced and the service is below average. Also a little racist but if you’re white you’re fine

The atmosphere is great but the food was not that great. My wife and I shared the vegetarian platter for two and it was ok. The dolmades were amazing and the salad was delicious. However the Haloumi was very dry and chewy. The aubergine did not taste very fresh either.
The crumbed feta was very salty. If it had more of the jam on it for the sweetness to cancel out the salt, then it would have been good.
The skordalia (spelling?) was also bland.

The dish is definitely not worth the asking price. Will not be ordering this dish again. We had the same dish about 3 years ago and were blown away by it. Not sure why it's not on the same standard as then.

Our waitress was very friendly and my Hoegaarden beer was delicious.

I will go back for the dolmades! Those are delicious!

We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant, and thoroughly enjoyed the moussaka and bifteki in a sunny spot that made us forget about the winter in Pretoria. The service was prompt and friendly. The food is very well priced for the quality that you receive.
There is a separate bar area, as well as play area for kids.
We will definitely be back for more.

My favourite restaurant by far! Food is absolutely amazing! Service is tops! We had our son's baptism lunch there. Thank you so much for making our day special and I can say you went of your way to make sure everything is perfect. I can highly recommend you to everybody. I found this little Greek restaurant a bit pricey. The service was okay but the children had a ball playing. In terms of Greek food and experience I can truly rate this restaurant as good. There is some room for improvement

What a delightful Greek Gem!

Our trip back to the old country started off extremely well with one of the most delicious meal we have ever eaten!

We decided on the Meze platter for 2 and couldn’t decide what to devour first, from the delicious chicken Bourekia to calamari, spanakopitas, halloumi and keftedes. They were all scrumptious, smacking of Greek flavour, an excellent sense of delight for a Foodie!

What are you Pretorians waiting for, as Greek as it truly gets right on your doorstep!

Valentine 2023 mixed feelings on my experience. Food was absolutely superb. Owners where great hosts and entertainment provided was also good. Unfortunately we received extremely poor service from the waitress. She turned a great evening into a really bad experience and what really got me upset was the fact that her tip was already included in the bill. She totally neglected the table and when confronted she was dismissive and confrontational, a real pity as the restaurant deserves a good review! In response to your request the waitress was the first to serve our table she provided the starters without any salt etc and after numerous attempts to catch her attention I was forced to request assistance from another waiter. When our drink were up the same experience I grabbed a complete different waiter who was serving another table and he eventually assisted with our drinks. After a long delay I put my hand up untill she came to the table and I ordered the food. Once received exactly the same reaction she just totally neglected the table I was then forced to approuch the third waiter who then assisted with desert. I then requested that that waiter bring the bill he then asked her to attend to this. I was disgusted with her service and protested she was extremly dismisive and just blew me off by saying it is not her duty to serve our table there are others that can assist I still regret having to tip a waitress for attrocious service. The rest of the evening was great.

Great experience, watching the rugby while the kids played on the jungle gym or with the blocks that the owner generously provided. Wonderful family outing with delicious food!

Delicious food - great tapas for two platter (those dips and sauces), lovely atmosphere, IS on the pricey side. Wish I had my sunglasses so I could look as classy as the ambience made me feel.
