Baobab Café & Grill.

Yesterday I was at Baobab Wonderboom. I must say I was disappointed that there was a church seminar while I was dining with my family. The people were singing church songs. We couldn't not even speak to each other because of the noise level. We had to listen to their speechs and preachings mind you it's was my cousins 21st birthday dinner. We did not enjoy at all on top of that I spend about R2500 for a table of 7 people but I didnt get excellent dining experience. Our 21st birthday dinner failed dismally after traveling for 2 hours from a remote village to give my cousin a special 21st experience at your restaurant. Well that was only a dream because there was church, the whole church in a fine dining restaurant. I am disappointed. I can't even explain what the experience did to my cousin who was looking forward to celebrate her 21st birthday in style in a decent restaurant

We had a suprise birthday lunch, the food was amazing and our waiters were the best, Vincent and Pham thank you so much for your service.

Welcoming, excellent service, food was appetising and nice, area was clean, staff very welcoming we went for my friend s, birthday we enjoyed to the fullest

The food is so underwhelming. The cocktail was nice though. The waitress told me that they do not get paid and pretty much manipulated me into giving a 10% tip which she did not deserve, she was lucky that I was her giving her anything to begin with, but she had the nerve to ask for a higher tip. I don’t know how true it is that they don’t get a basic salary but I’m definitely never going back there again.

I love everything about this place, class, check, the food 100% the service is always top notch, my fave restaurant by far. I enjoyed lunch with my partner, definitely, and highly recommending the place

The Lamb Shank and Brassed Beef short ribs were done to perfection, the service was amazing and the mood was set right.

We always enjoy going to Baobab but last time calamari was over fried.too dry.service was not on par as we had to wait for our drinks.it came it 3 seperate deliveries.and tables close too us were way to loud we could not hear our own conversation

Wow I regret going to the Wonderboom branch today, food was cold, menu was limited but no prior notice was given, served by 5 different waitors. The entire experience was beyond APPALLING! If I could I was going to rate them less than 0. To top it all upon paying the Bill the waitor did not utter a word to us. Despite giving him a tip after this service! I will ever ever set foot again!

Always great food and service. The portions are generous and a great place to bring family with different appetites.

The food is expensive for a small portions, however it's a nice chilled set up with kids play ground!

I love this place because their food is delish and portion sizes are generous.

However, my partner and I went for lunch on Friday and we both ordered seafood mains. The portion was tiny! ‍️ My mussel starter that I had had on a previous occasion was more filling than this. So I was quite disappointed.

Baobab, don't cut down on portion sizes! People like this restaurant because the food is tasty AND the helpings are generous.

The waiter did not provide good service for the kind of restaurant they are. The place is beautiful. It over looks the mountain. The food is quality.

Really good service with friendly staff. The meals were really enjoyable. The environment is just calming and relaxing. Great experience overall.

Well I like the ambiance and the beer prices but as for the services nah they seem to forget about me. Maybe cause I was the only one not sure but the bigger tables got attention

What a gem Realy great family restaurant. The food is fresh and well presented. Play zones for the kids is awesome. Service when busy can be rather slow, the manager could check in on patrons just to keep the experience personalized during those busy times, as the wait eons are super friendly and attentive.

Bought the mixed grill, was disappointed that the meat was just cooked as it is. No spice whatsoever. It was my favourite meal at baobab Cafe, but I guess I gotta take it off the meals to buy whenever I go there if there'll be another time.

Walking in I was already doubting our decision to eat here. The waiters were acting like you were doing them a service to eat there, there were no place settings on the tables and the service was just a disappointment. You do expect more from a place where most main courses are upwards of R200. I got my Eisbeine and. Was actually blown away, probably the best I had in Pretoria.
I can not say anything about the rest of the menu, but yes if you eat anything here, you can't go wrong with the Eisbeine
