Baobab Cafe & Grill

The food was good, I had chicken Livers for starters, chicken and beef with chips for main and an ice-cream. The portion are big, the atmosphere and view are lovely.

We were not happy with the service at first; we were not received by the waiting staff when we got through the door. We literally had to find a waitress that was going to serve us. After doing so, the one we found didn't really seem keen on serving us. Fortunately, a guy who was serving a table next to us took over and served us. If it wasn't for him, I was going to score them one star. He saved the day.

I had a very bad experience called in and oredered take aways wen i went for collection the price was double

The lighting inside are not good, couldn’t get 1 proper picture inside the venue when we had an event, but the place is beautiful.

My Jozi chesa nyama was very dry. The meat wasn't well done, it was congratulations. It was then that it dawned on me that I wasn't asked how I want my meat done.

Had dinner on a Wednesday night and it was quiet but the service was very slow. The food was good. We order dessert at 21h30 and it came in a take-away container yet we didn't request it to be packed away. Hipercia was a friendly waitress. Bathrooms were not clean.

I loved everything about the Cafe & Grill. There was nice music playing, the food was amazing and the service was also great thanks to our waiter Oswell.

We had a delicious 2 course meal at Baobab. The food was served on warm plates and we were given new cutlery with every meal served. The presentation was on international level (speaking from frequent travels) and the portions are a good size.

Our waitress, Karabo was friendly and willing to help us choose the best meal and checked in on us in at good intervals.

We loved the decor and atmosphere.

Fantastic view with a great menu. The staff is helpful and service is quick. Probably ons of the best restaurants in Menlyn Shoppi g centre and I'm go grateful they survived the Lockdown last year.

A very nice and sophisticated place with very beautiful friendly hostess and the outside view adds cherry to the cake

Great atmosphere as always. The food portions on the other hand could be reduced, by the time I had my main I was loaded up.

However some of the meat does not have salt, like chicken and shortribs, if you could sprinkle a little when preparing in the kitchen it would be nice.

The place was amazing, very chilled, friendly waiters, nice view and the service is very good. The food was great you will never regret going there.

Lunch at Baobab was very good, I really enjoyed my medium done steak with calamari and chips. I can't fault the place it was a very cold afternoon but the waitress brought me a blanket to cover with even though I didn't ask, I loved that she took initiative. The venue is beautiful with a lovely ambience. I'll go there again.
