Besos Restaurant

Easily my go to in that Randburg/Hyde park area, the food is amazing, the drinks are amazing, the service is amazing… just make sure you make a reservation we all love the place so much you might not get a spot mostly on weekends though, especially Sunday brunch time… but it’s all so worth it!

Perfect for a date, or girls out to catch up. Service is top tier, the place is exceptionally clean and they are very generous with food. I would go over and over again.

We went out for dinner on a Tue evening. The vibes were great with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I had the Burrata starter with the Calamari main. The food was fresh, flavourful and very tasty. The waiting staff are very attentive. Will definitely visit again!

Wow. The place looks pretty but almost everything else is wrong
A) at the start, the host has zero problem solving skills and seems completely out of her depth in hospitality. Unable to seat booked tables where booking should be.
B) the wait staff standing around the entrance so one constantly has to ask them to step out of the way.
C) the cocktails were atrocious. Had to resort to wine to quench.
D) the food is bland and some dishes have no flavour and no sense in how they were put together. Prawns were overcooked. No flavour in spicy wings.

I didn’t enjoy my time at this place though the waitress who served our table was wonderful!

We had a datenight at Besos, first visit for me. The setup is beautiful. We were served and taken care of by Anele. The food was good and very well presented. The cocktails were dangerous (in a good way- very drinkable). We had starters and mains, which were equally tasty and well presented. The food was well seasoned and Anele gave us good service by being on top of his service duties by advising and asking the right questions. We enjoyed ourselves.

Miles was our waiter and he was fantastic. Really made us feel looked after and made the meal with his wonderful service. Food was great and atmosphere was lively. Highly recommend

I had a delightful experience at Besos! Upon arrival, I initially got a bit lost, but the manager went above and beyond to guide me, even stepping outside to assist. The restaurant has a charming ambiance that immediately caught my eye. I savored the pulled beef tacos and a delightful Pinotage rosé—every bite and sip were pure joy. The waitstaff were incredibly friendly and made my visit even more pleasant. If I could offer a small suggestion, it would be to update their Sunday trading hours on their website. Looking forward to returning for another lovely meal!

Besos is a fantastic dining experience. The vibe is great from brunch service all the way through to dinner, the pricing is decent, and the food is consistently flavourful and we'll prepared. Talent and his team do a great job of attending to guests.

Nice ambiance. Good food. The chicken nachos are a must have. The tomahawk steak was perfectly cooked. Not usually a dessert fan but I enjoyed their desserts.

Food is great, but I’ve been there 3 times in a month and each time the service is just so so bad each time. Different days, different waiters and each time they are either rude or neglectful

Service was great from the moment I walked in.
Yolanda was a standout for me. She is friendly and on the ball.

I have only tried the chicken livers so far, but they were delicious.so I'll definitely be back to try some other dishes.

The Spicy Margarita was really nice, paired well with the Litchi Shot.

My only thing was the prices are slightly high. 120 for a Maragirita cocktail is pretty high, even for a place of this caliber.hence the 4 star, otherwise a definite 5 star.

Restaurant looks great but food not so much. Risotto was crunchy and dry, beef tacos were oily and the sirloin was burnt on the outside. Overall, we weren’t impressed.

The pasta I had was really mediocre and so was my friends steak. I wouldn't go back for a meal but their spicy margaritas were so good. Definitely worth returning for.

Excellent experience from food to service!
Only complaint I would have is that the music from the restaurant next door was very loud and it's patrons smoking Marijuana!

This restaurant is spectacular!

The place, the food, the cocktails and the service are 10/10.

They have the best seafood risotto in town! I can't wait for my next visit!

They stuffed up the booking then couldn’t care less that they had to turn us away. As well as not going back I will make sure I tell my clients. If only they had approached the problem better

I had a truly memorable dining experience at Besos in Craighall Park, Johannesburg. The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Johannesburg.

The service was impeccable, and our server was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and we felt very comfortable and relaxed throughout our meal.

Overall, I had a wonderful time at Besos, and I would definitely return

Upon entering the restaurant, I was attended to by one waiter who started to help me find a table. However, while in the process, two other ladies arrived, and he abruptly abandoned me, leaving me standing in the middle of the restaurant without any assistance. I had to wait for an extended period without any clear direction. This was so disheartening and I’ll never go there again.

I made reservations and when I got there no one attended us and the waitress stared at us like we crazy at the entrance. I never felt so embarrassed
