The rum based old fashioned cocktail, calamari and the rum basted beef burger along with the complimentary flat bread make this place worth a visit even on a off day. The deco, atmosphere and popularity create a complete and unique experience that reminds me of a tropical movie destination set in the 80ties. Highly recommended.

Great atmosphere. Delicious food and drink, especially the pina coladas they are served in fresh pineapples! All staff very friendly and welcoming. Can accommodate small groups and individuals at the bar. Can get very busy on Fridays and over the weekend so best to make a booking. Only let down is that the music is a bit too loud, you have to scream at the person across you to have a conversation.

Another local favorite! We always end up here on a night out - the cocktails are eye catching and delicious and the vibe is always great. Food-wise, I can’t get enough of the lentil curry (but you had better truly love chili), and if you pre-order it they’ll do a whole suckling pig!

Really nice restaurant that offers a nice ambiance with very welcoming staff. The food is authentic to African tradition with a reasonable price attached in the RR price range on average. The drinks and cocktails at the Lara are what make it magnificent as well as its location.

Not too bad for this side of town. I would recommend taking an uber as the parking is not always great outside. They have good food and great cocktail specials.
