Cactus Creek Restaurant / Texican Constantia reviews
35 Absolutely Amazing! The portions are generous, the food is absolutely delicious and the service is absolutely great. I think the service was probably the most memorable part of my experience, Martha was attentive and came across really caring about us wanting to have a good time.
The hard shell tacos were wonderful, and it was a break away from the ubiquitous soft shell tacos in PTA. I had the fish taco, and it was heavenly. From the spicing to the coleslaw to the homemade peri-peri sauces (which I happened to overindulge in).
We're definitely coming back for the churros. We must try the churros.
Thoroughly enjoyed every single part of my visit there. The venue comes highly recommended.
It was nice, quiet and welcoming. The food is incredible. The onions rings are fantastic, the rump steak was incredibly tender, the burgers were well presented and tasty and the beers were cold! Do support this restaurant!
We really enjoyed eating here. The food is to dir for, as well as the Margaritas. Great staff and atmosphere. Would really recommend!
We really enjoyed this place. Being from the desert southwest of the US, we are a bit pretentious about anything Mexican food related. Especially anything with the dreaded "Tex-Mex" affiliation. However, this was some damn good food. We all enjoyed it and want to return. Definitely recommend.
The food is really good. Cocktails are great. Very nice vibe. Our waiter was very friendly and on it. Perfect place to hang with friends and get a good drink and snack
I was craving Tacos, been to most Taco places in Durban, so the son decided to take me here. Wow, i was in Taco heaven, as a food critic not really left speechless, but i was enjoying the melody of flavours, hot steamy shredded pork, plentiful portions, then the cooling crisp coleslaw or cabbage, the adding of guacamole & sour cream, delectable.i would advise to add some salsa for heat, as an option. I had the hard & soft shell variation, best of both.served by a very enthusiastic, enlightened Tyler. He knew his menu & specials that Texican offers for the week, touted with flare! Also quite the mixologist he is, mixed my Cherry blossom gin. The son had the steak enchillada, tried the pork previously, vouches for the pork.fresh, generous portions.excellent, attentive, friendly service. Love the vibe, just too bad they dont offer prawn tacos but Tyler explained dont want food preparation contamination, so just chicken, beef & pork meat offerings. Blown away by my Tacos, definitely worth the taste try️️
Great little Mexican restaurant. Friendly staff and a good menu will make you keep coming back for more. Keep up the good work Texican
Good service, the food was outstanding, nice atmosphere and cozy, prices are afortable, a family restaurant and i give then a 5 star rating.
What an amazing little restaurant! The food is so good and they are really well priced! My favorites are the ribs and eisbein. The pan fried potatoes are to die for! Leave the chains alone and support local gems like this. You will not be disappointed!
The food was amazing, very unique flavours, the staff is very friendly. It's a great spot for a Sunday lunch!
Great food at very reasonable prices. Lovely waiter for the evening. Thanks Terrance
Would recommend the deboned chicken filled with feta and pineapple as well as the fries were amazing. Cheap brandy specials and great host for the evening
Wonderful owner and staff, plus exceptionally tasty food! The atmosphere is cosy for dinner, but I can imagine Cactus Creek is a great spot for breakfast and lunch too. It’s situated in a lovely, well-eatablished suburb.
Family owned, family run restaurant! What a find! The food was fantastic and generous. Atmosphere laid-back and pleasant. We'll be back for sure!
Always a great dining experience at Cactus Creek in Constantia Park, Pretoria. We had a really tough time deciding which choice of specials for the day was the best dish. Braised pork belly with red wine, balsamic and calamata olive reduction on a bed of pasta (tasty and perfectly cooked), peppadew pesto chicken, also on pasta (strong contender for best pasta dish in town) or deboned baby chicken stuffed with feta and an amazing sause covering (probably the best whole chicken in town). All brilliant, I couldn't decide so went the safe (non-vegitarian ;-) ) T-bone @ 750g, perfectly cooked, great taste, quality beef at a reasonable price. Everyone left content with their own choice and plans for ordering the other dishes in future. Great value for money.
Best place to visit. Whether you want to wind down, party, or be romantic this is the place for you. The staff is friendly and caters to you every need. The atmosphere makes it difficult to go home (responsibilities or not). The food is delicious and the drinks are generous. My husband and I come here at least once a week, because this place is unique. Here, you are family.
All i can say is WOW! Awesome food, massive portions and really affordable prices, friendly staff and the owner really is hands on, felt like we were at home. Found our little gem just down the road, will defintely be back over and over!
I celebrated my 18th at the old Cactus Creek in Brooklyn, and I am not disappointed with the new one hidden in Constantia. The pulled beef short rib enchiladas was the type of Mexican food people rave about, but bit you rarely get.
The portions are generous, and being a small, family run restaurant gives Cactus Creek a coziness that you don't find in most restaurants anymore.
Pleasantly surprised, we found the place by chance and went in, almost left as I thought there was not much that I could eat from the menu, and they stopped us from leaving, Chef made me an amazing lamb dish! Small but cosy and efficient staff and great tasting food, portions were huge also and quiet affordable.
