40The food was so delicious. The staff very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was really good and perfect for family dinners. Like every bite of the food we had.
Thabo was our waiter, we never had to look for him, he always knew when we needed him. It was my 1st time eating at Calistos, everything was delicious.
Food is excellent. Prawn special reasonable price. Vegetables, butternut and spinach well done and tasty. Meals are served with full size Portuguese rolls and unique salsa relish. Best place to try oven baked cheese cake or chai tea. Waiters are friendly and helpful on deciding what to eat.

The food and service was great, but experienced some mild hostility and indifference from one of the managers. It was disappointing that he changed the TV channel that we were watching without asking us, to something else for a customer that had just walked in. The courtesy to ask and try to accommodate all customers would have been nice.
Pro's: Service was good, portions were generous. I liked the huge fresh complimentary rolls with butter.
Cons: A bit too noisy with the music too loud. Mango Mojito was average.chicken was decent.
I was extremely disappointed at the service at Calistos Goldreef city today. We were a group of 6 people who went for an early dinner. We wanted the family feast platter and since we don't eat livers and beef, we requested an alternative to those items, it was done previously when we came in April, today we were refused and told that only the squid heads can be an alternative but we needed to pay in. They could not give me a platter excluding those items at a different price. This was really bad service as the manager could not even assist and just told me that he can't override the system so Calistos would rather loose business for over R1000 than provide customers with extra they want which is within the same price bracket.
THE SERVICE WAS OKAY. CAN'T REALLY SAY MUCH ABOUT MY MEAL HALF THE MEL WAS NOT EDIBLE, THE GARLIC ROLLS WERE HARD AS ROCK AND THERE WAS SOME UNDENTIFIABLE STUFF ON MY PLATE, WAS LATER TOLD IT'S FRIED PAP. IT WAS AWFUL. I DON'T RECOMMEND THE CHEFS PLATTER 0 Rating.

Absolutely loved our meals. It was delicious and the Prawns and chicken were cooked to perfection.
Will be back. My daughter loved the chicken nuggets and chips so that made me even happier.

I ordered chicken but wasn't that well done or tender. I found myself missing something like Nandos. I'm not comparing the two but at that moment I could've settled for Nandos.

Was here from 12H00 to 14H00, ordered starters which had no flavor and didn't taste good. The Main cause was good. The manager on duty (Rudy) came across as very racist, he only went to check on the tables that were white. However the waiter was friendly.
Came in to the restaurant at 12H00 till 14H00, waiter was very friendly. Ordered starters of chicken livers, calamari and squid heads, which is very bland, like no flavor. The main course was very good. The manager Rudy went to every white table to speak to the people except our table, as we are Indians, very disappointing. All non whites were not given the same opportunity.
