Beautiful Italian restaurant, amazing service, and the food is absolutely amazing. Would highly recommend the Brasilico pizza and poached pear dessert. The creme brulee however, was runny and required a straw. Regardless, would highly recommend a visit!

Drop everything you’re eating and come here. Such a refreshing dining experience with waiters and hostesses who take their jobs seriously and really care about their customers. We were treated so well and the food was so on point. I wish I had discovered this place sooner!

Wow, this place was amazing.

From the staff to the cuisine it was a 5 star experience. Very friendly and informative staff and the food was excellent. We celebrated my wife's birthday and we really experienced VIP treatment. We enjoyed a lovely Lamb Rump, with potatoes, spinach and cabbage mix, what an amazing taste and combination of flavours. And to top it all off the live pianist right next to our table gave the evening a real elegant atmosphere. Our evening ended with a nice Créme Brûlée and a smooth cappuccino. Italian cuisine at it's best.

I have been going to Caraffa since 2002 as it is the most consistent restaurant you can go to. Their quality, flavours and service is flawless.time after time. I can recommend them to anyone.

Caraffa is a very special Italian restaurant with a great rustic atmosphere and 5* food and service. You can simply not go wrong! Take note: you need to book to secure your table as it is very popular amongst the locals.

Definitely requires a number of return visits! The service is excellent and so is the food. Great selection of mouthwatering options. We will be back.

Let me start by saying, I have never visited this restaurant and had a bad or even mediocre experience, like all previous visits the hosts and waiters were efficient, friendly and know their menu. The food is exceptional, we were a party of 6, everyone ordered a different dish, without exception all 6 dishes were devine. In my modest opinion, I rate this restaurant in the top 10 in Pretoria.

Really exceptional professional service. You get the feel of being in Italy with the fabulous look of the restaurant. Spectacular food and wine. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a romantic dinner.

No regard for Covid. Place packed, people sitting like sardines on top of each other. No ventilation, no checking temperatures.if you want to contract Covid, go to Caraffa!

Participating in a professional lunch, I had the chance to taste a menu concocted by Chef Eric Frechon, and despite a substantial number of guests, it was the exact embodiment of a starred meal. To start: Eggplant caviar grilled over a wood fire, yogurt and coriander, simply delicious.

Wow. What an experience. First class service. Just incredible. The ambiance is amazing, especially when you're treated with live piano playing calmly in the background as you enjoy a 5-star meal. Did I mention the excellent service? Thank you, Oom, for the lovely music.

Ample parking. Security (car watch) good food. Reasonably priced. Good service. Life piano music!

I came here for my 21st and honestly it was a bit disappointing. There is a massive difference in how one is treated if it is your first time there. They honestly do favour their regular customers more. This got increasingly frustrating because you can only order your food from the manager/owner which takes forever when they are talking to their regular customers. We waited more than half an hour before we could place our order. The food was also mediocre for the price they ask.

Caraffa is one of the few restaurants in Pretoria I regard as a classic dining experience. From being carried in as a child to having taking my own date, the years of frequenting have if anything made it the yardstick by which i measure most other restaurants.

Whether you have a favorite dish, prefer to explore the wide variety of options the menu has to offer or choose to try one ofe the evenings specially prepared dishes, you are guaranteed to find something that is to your taste (although pretty much any item on the menu is absolutely mouthwatering).
Caraffa also boasts a wide selection of wines to compliment any dish of choice.

Michela and Franka are in my opinion the definition of Italian hostesses, bringing together excellent food and a glimpse of Italy.
I would definitely recommend Caraffa for your next evening out.

Honestly been driving passed this place for more than a decade until one day someone told me it was a restaurant. Now I can't imagine going anywhere else for Italian cuisine! They have the absolute Best lasagne you will ever eat! Also the best Pizza, the best Veal and the best Ravioli. We've been back 4 times in one month and the waitors have taken the time to remember us and know what we usually order. What an experience!
