Club Surgical Centre

I went with my partner on the 27th July 2020 to use the car wash in the basement parking. On our way in we used the left boom gate as the offramp towards the carwash was also on the left as you enter. After collecting my ticket I started driving slowly as the parking is unfamiliar and I am a very cautious driver. My car came to a halt less than a meter after pulling away as I heard and felt scrape on my left front wheel. I stopped immediately and got out of my car to see what was in my way and discovered a curb (raised sidewalk) unmarked and not visible from within a low luxury car like mine. I immediately called the security and reported the incident. I also reached out to the mall Manager (Rentia Van Rooyen) whom was very hard to get a hold off and very un responsive when I eventfully did get a hold off her. They took a month to process the claim with there Insurance (Sanlam) whom after taking my statement said they could not pay out for the damaged on my car as I drove into the curb which is accidental and not negligence. I would like to make people aware of this curb at the entrance as its not marked and not visible at all. So many tire and rim marks is all over it. Ridiculous rule that only one parent per patient is allowed in with a child who goes for surgery. It's not just traumatic for the child but also for the parents. We were told this is not a Covid rule but a general clinic rule. This is not in the best interest of the patient. All other hospitals we've been to with our child did not have this rule and it was never a problem.
The building and facility may be beautiful and the care may be good here (not significantly better than others), but it does not outweigh this outrageous rule. I highly recommend rather going to a different day clinic or hospital in order to be with your child. They will never see us again.

The facility is first class and staff efficient and professional, BUT waiting from 7am to 11am scheduled for 9am ie for 4 hours for my procedure ie colonoscopy and gastroscopy was not acceptable at this quality of facility! At around 09.30am in the day ward I was told Dr is running an hour late and I will go into theater at 10am. Then at around 10.30am I buzed to enquire also as I was not feeling well given Diabetes 2 status (informed them beforehand) having gut detoxed for 24hrs and last food a cup of soup 8pm night before! While my stats were checked I still only got into theater by 11am with a drip on. Dr came but NOT even an apology for the delay. All was then done by 12am when I came round from sedation and recovered quickly. While I really want to complement all the staff and medical support in general, I did not appreciate waiting 4 hours for a one hour procedure! Sorry but for this type of procedure rather go somewhere else!

Amazing surgical centre! 2nd procedure here and all the staff are wonderful, they truly make the experience so effortless and comfortable.

Excellent service at every single step. The pre admission was personalised and efficient. Check in was smooth. The nurses were friendly, thorough and attentive. There was incredible attention to detail, from the comfortable hospital clothing and bedding to the heated blankets in surgery. And all of the above is in addition to the skills and professionalism of the surgeons and medical team in theatre.

My experience at this Day Clinic yesterday was absolutely amazing. The staff are very professional, helpful, caring and friendly. Goodbye bad hospital food, being able to have a choice of good food and a beverage to accompany it was wonderful. The entire building inside and out is aesthetically pleasing and is very conveniently situated. Our toddler had her tonsillectomy procedure done at this centre. From admissions to discharge it was an effortless and smooth experience. Beautiful, modern and clean surgical centre, the staff were friendly and overall great first class experience.
