Stayed nearby here for a wedding and popped in for a bite before the ceremonies. What a good decision! If we'd had more time we would have stayed longer and eaten more. The chicken prego was explosively flavourful with a combination of spice, chilli and sauce that had me reminiscing about good old Fontana chicken's: 'Eish meal with schweet chilli sauce'. It was delicious and the chips were sturdy, thick-cut potatoes. A filling dish to be sure but the taste was so good I probably could've eaten two in a single sitting. All of it for a decent price.

We discovered the restaurant and butchery and have been so impressed. Meat is of the highest quality and all the staff are professional and friendly. It is worth the trip for us from Fourways.

Our first impression of Coal's was amazing, we said every Monday we will visit and support them, but thanks for spoiling Valentines day for us, absolutely the worst service we have ever experienced, I would easily have accepted it coming from a takeaway place but not you guys, waited forever for a menu, waited even longer for drinks, when the food eventually came after almost 1 and half hours of getting there, drinks were finished, I think the worst of all is that our waiter gave us attitude after asking and after he had no care in the world to provide further service to us, our regular waiter apologies on behalf the other one, which I find very unfair, we will never ever go back again.

One of my favourite new restaurants! Gorgeous view, lovely service, incredible food-and you would not believe the prices! Half the price of other restaurants-cocktail specials, amazing ribs-we keep coming back again and again!

What wonderfull friendly people. Service is outstanding and with a smile. Prices are very good and meat is absolutely fantastic. It is so refreshing to meet people that are passionate about whay they do. We ordered a whole lamb and forgot to tell them how thick we like our chops but we should not have worried, they cut them to perfection. We have just cooked the rib on the braai. WOW fantastic. Thank you Braam and team, we will be back.
