My Goat, my baby has been limping. So we decided to have him checked out today. On arrival my husband was asked to come back at 16h20.

We run our own business and have kids to fetch from school in the Alberton area. We arrived at 16h35. Unfortunately we didnt make it at 16h20 which was rudely pointed out to us by the secretary. After which we were told to come back again tomorrow morning as there is another patient who still needs to be seen (no one else was in the waiting area).

On my husbands initial visit he expressed his concern that our goats leg might be broken. They really seem to have lost their sense of empathy for animals and it's quite heartbreaking as I previously sang their praises but after my experience today I will not be returning.

It seems like an emergency can only happen on their time. Not impressed!

I adopted a puppy from a rescue centre. A mandated appointment with a Vet at this veterinary clinic was scheduled by the rescue centre and context was provided.

I reached my 15: 40 appointment at 15: 47. Making a trip through JHB traffic to the Vaal  after getting out of a rough work schedule, adopting and fetching a puppy from the rescue centre and thereafter finding my way for my first-time visit to the veterinary clinic was daunting.

The above perturbations are not of relevance to personell at the veterinary clinic.but upon reaching the veterinary clinic with fervent volition, I was met with a "You are late" response by the Secretary which was justifiable but perhaps the obvious need not be mentioned. The Secretary followed the response with a reminder of the current time and further explanation of what being late means to the clinic and other patrons.

Through the rambling by the Secretary and Vet I had to manage puppies anxiety of being with a stranger and carry him through to being weighed and subduing him on the Vets examination table. This response tarnishes my adoption experience which should ideally be a joyous event. I would have appreciated not being given a lesson on punctuality and its repercussions but rather being told that my 7 minute delay means that puppy cannot be seen if it were the case.

My reason for being late is irrelevant to my complaint and so I kept silent through the ramble but presented it here to describe my tarnished experience at the clinic.

The comportment displayed by the staff at the Veterinary clinic was unprofessional and unwarranted.

I would not like my friends nor family to share my experience.

Don't take on walk in emergencies. If your pet is in pain don't waste your time or energy.

Edited my 5 star review down to 1 star after recent experience. 2 of my friend that have used this vet also no longer support them because of exhorbitant costs. Medication is marked up by almost 1000% in some cases. Found the same medication they gave me for my dog at dischem for 10% of the price I was charged. Very disillusioned with vets in general at this point in time. From now on I ask for a script, and first phone around for the medication at a pharmacy. Vets are ripping us off because we love our animals.

Thank you so much Dr Rob for treating kitty.
Kitty is a Ferrell cat who popped up at my house.
He did not look to good, so I took him to daleside veterinary clinic where Dr Rob treated him and much more. I brought Kitty home today and he is on his merry way. Hopefully he will come around tonight at about 9 to get his milk and soft cat food.
Once again thank you Daleside veterinary clinic.

I took my 2 Bull Terriers Max and Lexi to Daleside Vet clinic just now to be vaccinated and what an absolute pleasant experience!

Dr Rob Lloyd really is by far THE GREATEST, most awesome veterinarian we ever took our dogs to. He does not rush through his patients and really make time to explain everything!

Even if I have to drive hundred kilometers, I will never take my dogs to any other vet!

Thanks Dr Lloyd and team! You are all wonderful!
