Doppio Zero Bedfordview

Very nice place with nice food. Good for family times. Food is beyond explanation from breakfast to lunch. Just an incredible place with value for money.

My second time to visit Doppio Zero restaurant. Excellent food, excellent environment and courteous staff. No doubt I will go back to the restaurant for another meal. I found their deserts pricey though - this is why I am giving them 4 stars.

Always great food and excellent service. Available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pizzas are amazing. Great vegan options too.

Doppio zero is vegetarian and vegan friendly. There is a lovely outside area to utilise in covid as well!

So disappointed, I ordered the sweet potatoe mash due to special dietary needs, asked if it was made with milk, I was told coconut milk which is great but then I get my order and it is full of butter grease. I can't have dairy. I can better sweet potatoe mash at home. And it wont be covered in grease, why would there even be so much grease in sweet potatoes?

My first time at this place was so amazing, the food was so fresh and amazing. The second time was a disaster. Ordered the same thing I ordered the previous night. Surprisingly the portion downsized by over a half. The taste was bland. Not sure if the chefs make the same dish differently. But the second time really wasn't nice nor tasteful. The manager is a lier for sure. She comes and tells me that the portion I got was right and yesterday's portion was wrong, even though there's no portion sizes on the manue. She then says the waiter that helped us last night was a trainee.

Please note, my rating is not based on the food or service, those were both great.
If the owners so called friends can come in and shout at the staff then I'd rather not go there. I honestly feel sorry for Lucy. This so called friend should not be welcome if this is how he reacts over a delayed phone call.

This place has a great vibe, like you can just sit around the whole day sipping on great coffee.

Fabulous restaurant. High class service from the waiters to management. Food on top of numbers. Americano coffee sublime right texture, Presentation of cutlery world class.

Service was good very helpful waitress and management has a Beyond Vegan Burger was good but I've had better was a bit pricy once you add the cheese. But very impressed that they have a few things on the vegan side that you can select immediately

Very slow service. 35min wait for breakfast. Sent the coffee and milkshake back due to suspect milk. Disorganized and poorly managed. Staff seemed poorly trained and no supervision. Disappointed. Wont be back.

Service is slow had to ask the waiter for basic necessities like sugar for the coffee and tomato sauce for the chips, chips were way to salty and tasted old and the pork belly was over cooked and when they brought us a new one it was much better but then the manager blamed the type of cut of the meat when clearly you only get one cut of pork belly take accountability for poor cooking

Had a fantastic morning at Doppio Zero in Bedfordview. My friend ordered the Doppio Breakfast which he thoroughly enjoyed. It is a protein-rich variation of a full English breakfast. I asked to order a poke bowl from the lunch time menu and had it with chilli. Everything on my plate was fresh and delicious. The edamame beans were perfectly prepared and had a stunning fresh color. I am going through a bit of a health conscious phase in my life so ordered an incredible green smoothie. I must say, this was not the easiest thing to get down and I ended up tricking my mind with positive affirmations to get down the last sips of this thick, slimy drink. I feel it might be better with ginger and lemon to improve the taste. I tried adding an extra shot of ginger but the shot was not enough to compensate for the overpowering taste of raw broccoli and spinach. I won't be ordering this smoothie again and do not recommend it, but it did not detract from the overall pleasure of eating at this lovely restaurant. I was grateful to find parking in front of the place, and my car was in the shade when I arrived. I also like the decor and views from the balcony. After we both ate ourselves into a state of itis, we retired to the couch upstairs with our drinks and the Sunday papers. The staff were really friendly and accomdating and after years of visiting Doppio Zero restaurants across South Africa, today I finally found out about their loyalty program which works via an app. Yay! I would definitely come back to Doppio Zero in Bedfordview in the future and I am very happy that I chose to spoil myself with such a lovely start to the day.

Table was extremely dirty. Service was slow. Waitress was sweet but non existent. Pork was very dry. And sauce was too salty.

I love Doppio Zero, always enjoy the food. The toasted chicken mayo was great and the chips fantastic. The waiters were attentive and friendly. The only fault I could find was the dirty knife I was served. All waiters should always check that the cutlery sent out is clean!

Service wasn't so great, we had to flag down waiters at least 3 times to get orders, manager did come say hello though but doesn't justify the par service, guys if you want to get good tips then give good service. Food on the other hand was good and would definitely eat here again, give the service a second chance perhaps?

Both my brother and I's lasagnes were frozen. Literally a block of iced lasagne under the melted cheese. So disappointing.

Great food and drinks. The menu is a bit limited but accomdating for those with small appetites. They have a great beer and wine selection.

Good food, good service, nice atmosphere. That was my last review of 4 stars, Now an undeserved 1 star. Worst looking and tasting pasta I've ever had. I had to send it back. The manager said he didn't see anything wrong with it. No apologies from anyone. The service was shocking so no tip and not a word from a visibly angry waitress. Bad service and terrible overpriced food, Doppio below Zero off my List.
