Doppio Zero Bryanston

Honestly had a horrible experience from how long things took, to the fact that the waiters swapped shifts and I wasn’t informed sitting there confused and to closing off with being sworn at by the waiter.

DO ME A FAVOUR DONT RUIN YOUR DAY like I did

We were seated quickly by a person from the restaurant, but it took a while for the waitress to come and take our order. A few minutes later, she returned and informed us that the soup was unavailable. She dropped the menu and almost ran to attend to a new customer who had just walked in.
I ordered a lamb shank, while my partner had pasta instead of the soup. When our food finally arrived, the server brought us complimentary bread, mentioning that it was for the pasta, although this was not the usual practice. Also making it seem as if she is giving us something extra due to do soup. Unfortunately, certain portions of the lamb shank were tough and dry, making it difficult to cut and enjoy. I ended up not finishing my meal as it was disappointing.
When the waitress inquired if there was a problem with the food, I mentioned that it was dry and tough. She conveyed this feedback to the on-duty manager, who, regrettably, appeared indifferent and dismissed our concerns with a careless attitude.

Glum service, inconsistent food. I used to go for gnocchi fairly often, the service was tolerable until I was served gnocchi that was so stale it was actually crunchy.

Edited my review to 1 star because of the copy-pasta response from the business. I'm not interested.

Service shocking, food average, waiter argued with my 61 year old father that he could not have cheese on his chocolate crossiant so brought him a plain one instead. Food took FOREVER.

An absolute rip off.
You order say a buttermilk chicken burger and what is plated is a rather disappointing small chicken piece on the bun.

Absolutely disgusting treatment. Had to fight with the manager to let my blind niece and her guide dog in.
Will NEVER set foot in this establishment again.

Service consistently getting worse every time I get food here. So many waiters but the wait is so long. Today even the food was horrible.

Very average.waiter was excellent.kitchen staff not up to scratch. Manager very dismissive of the fact we waited 1hr for a burger. Full of excuses.wont be there again!

Good location. Good variety of baked cakes and niblets. Service was good and well executed. Coffee is okay. Will be good to visit again.

The staff (including chef) need training and better knowledge of vegan food. Doppio has a few vegan options on their menu and we decided to go for breakfast there. My partner got the avo on toast, but asked to sub the cottage cheese for tofu. They literally brought bland raw tofu on toast with avo on top of it. There are so many ways to prepare tofu and the fact that the chef and staff did not do any extra effort and just gave bland tofu was really disappointing. The portion sizes are also not that great giving what you pay. As a vegan, totally not worth visiting this branch.

Great food and exceptional service - went out of the way to make a meal for me that was not on the menu anymore - highly recommend this new store

Not bad for breakfast but the portions are tiny. Avo on toast for R66 and only one piece of toast. There are too many other good choices in Bryanston which will make life tough for Doppio

However the cheese cake is out of this world

Great place barring the noise. For some reasons certain places are much noiser them other even whith similar amount of patrons. The drafts on offer are only 3, which might be all right for the winter, bit definitely not enough for the winter. Takos are very tasty, but chips was not fried properly. I will definitely give it another try.

I used to be a big fan of Junipa's, the quant bakery and coffee shop that originally occupied this space. It is my pleasure to say that new Dopio has really made the most of the place. Being a chain, there is always a fear that the spot will lose personality, but they have opened up the restaurant, giving it an airy feel whilst still holding on to its roots.
The food is marvelous. The staff are top-notch. And the management ask too many questions when you take too many photographs. Whoops.
The absolute only issue is that sitting inside on a busy day can get super loud as sound echoes off the walls.

We had two great experiences here - one for a Friday night drinks and dinner and the other for a stunning Sunday morning breakfast.

The waiters were very helpful and attentive. Our food was also perfect, just as we ordered it and really tasty.

Lovely atmosphere and beautiful decor, really a great vibe and great overall experience.

A more sophisticated version than the other DZ franchises I've been to. Food (dinner) was very pleasant as well as the decor. The service was the standout.

Very good food, all 6 of us enjoyed our meals. Service from Andile was excellent. Two of us ordered Five Roses tea but we're given rooibos - the mistake was corrected immediately. Would go back again.

Good set up with indoor and outdoor seating. Same menu as all the other branches/. My Teriyaki salmon was Devine. Service was average

Always great food and have awesome waiters and waitresses. The only problem is the staff changes shift at 2 pm so you have to pay your bill before you have finished your meal. It has happened three times in the last few months. Apart from this small inconvenience, I would highly recommend this Doppio Zero
