Doppio Zero Pineslopes

We ordered wine and was told sorry no wine glasses and was given gin glasses. 3 of us had the chicken bowl, it was very watery before you even put the sauce over. To me the greens and quinoa was not drain properly. No desserts available not even ice cream. We were told there one slice of bar one cheese cake which we shared between 4 of us. Will definitely not be going back.

I recently dined at Doppio Zero in Pineslopes on a Friday night with my family. I should note that I approached dining here with some caution, as I had seen a significant number of negative reviews before deciding to visit. Alas, I did not pick the location so I was obliged to come.

We ordered a variety of dishes, including the original burger, chicken livers and fries, chicken wings tapas, and drinks such as Appletiser, beer, and cognac.

The food arrived in about 25 minutes and overall tasted good. I must give a special recommendation to the hand-cut fries, which were truly delicious. However, I found the chicken livers sauce to be excessively spicy, so it's best suited for chili lovers.

The burger, while tasty, had meat that was somewhat undercooked. I didn't mind this as it suits my preference, but since I didn't specifically request it, I believe it would be better if they cooked it properly unless asked otherwise as not everyone enjoys medium rare food.

The restaurant had a nice decor, but the seating options were not to my liking. The benches appeared stained, and the distance between them and the tables was awkward, making it difficult to sit comfortably in the booth.

On the positive side, the lighting was perfect- not too bright, not too dim, and despite it being a Friday night, it wasn't overly crowded. It seemed to cater to an older crowd, primarily aged 40 and above, based on the patrons I observed.

The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit, which was a plus.

In conclusion, if you're solely looking for a good meal, Doppio Zero in Pineslopes is a decent option.

However, I've visited better branches of Doppio Zero, and the overall vibe at this location left something to be desired. I found it lacking in energy and ambiance, so I won't be returning.

Unfortunately, this is the third time that there were NO croissants or muffins available. Not acceptable for an establishment that boasts that they are a bakery.

Service was slightly slow, but totally understandable based on how busy it is on a Saturday morning. Great breakfast. Would recommend.

This restaurant is a favorite of ours for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is always freshly prepared and satisfying. There is plenty of seating indoors or on the deck.

We arrived freeeeeezing because of the weather but they looked after us really well! Food was amazing! Thanks!

What a disappointment! No cream for coffee, no little biscuits on the side, no Teapot, no Red Cappuccino. The waitrons were chewing gum and the general atmosphere was one of lethargy. There are so many charming coffee shops there’s no reason to go back.

I had to edit this review. The Service and especially the food has deteriorated.

You guys need to jack up your food and service. You should take some learning from doppio Zero in Belairs

Great ambience, scrumptious food bit portions are too small like really small.the Juice a glass of =48 rands is like so small hhay man

Friendly service and generous portion sizes contributed to a pleasant meeting with a friend.

I found the coated chicken thighs on the burger too rich, but our waiter, Leo, arranged to replace it with a chicken breast, which I enjoyed. I appreciated the willingness to satisfy the customer's needs, that is super service!

Biggest disappointment of my experience with restaurants. The waiter took so long to bring my food, I opted to have it as a take away after 30 min of waiting.only to get home and discover they burnt my chicken breasts and even managed to burn eggplant for my salad.

Been there a few times. Sometimes service is dire then other times fantastic. Dependent on person. Food and drink is top quality.

Very tasty meals. Love their pastries. Great ambiance, beautiful place to hang out in. Friendly, helpful staff.

The past three times I have visited the service has been terrible. Unfortunately this will now be the last time. You wait for someone to take your order then wait ages for your food. The most recent visit my coffee was practically chucked on the table and the waiter ran off before I could place a food order and then could not get anyone's attention to order food? I eventually stood up to go and pay as I could not wait longer. I love doppio as they have a great menu and generally good food. I hope that they can sort their staff issue out? Not sure if they are under staffed or if their systems are inefficient?

Ordered a spaghetti, a salad, and a chicken meal.
Below average food. The fries were not cooked properly, the spaghetti was just drenched in cream and butter and no flavor, and the salad was so not worth it for 100 bucks (small quantity)

Please try improve on the quality of the food.

Girlfriend asked for a hard-boiled egg and a croissant, got half boiled eggs, and toasted croissant halves.

I got half crispy, half uncooked bacon.

The hot chocolate was okay.

0/10 would not spend money here again.

Top Notch. Fireplace in the cold winter is amazing! Food is delicious. Bread is amazing. Well done guys. Keep it up! Will be back!

When will Doppio get cappuccino right? It's either flaming hot, or the milk is burnt.
It should be between 55 to 65°.
The new menu (June 2021) isn't great. There are some flavour combinations that are challenging and just strange.

Service was excellent and on top. From the time walked in the door to the time we left we were well looked after. Food came quickly and was delicious and went down really well. Drinks were also quick. We felt as though the ppl wanted to assist you and that it was not just a job. Will be going back soon for sure. Thanks for the brilliant service and food.
