Dr PH Laubscher is in my opinion one of the best if not THE BEST orthopedic surgeon in SA. I presented with neck and shoulder pain.
After consultation and scans a shoulder replacement was done. I had to pay some cash in.as I only had medical insurance. His PA Sonja worked relentlessly to get me better quotes on everything.
Can't thank this team enough.
I am pain free.driving and will be swimming soon with prosthesis in shoulder.

He was more concerned about where I found his details as he had just gotten the website up, bragged about how many clients it brought him then later on dumped me onto a neck specialist who also was of no help. Imagine telling his secretary that I believe my main pain point is on the neck and she purposely says just come in while she knows he’s a “shoulder specialist” and I put this in inverted commas because I highly doubt his level of depth of knowledge of the sickness/illness.

Dr Laubscher is by far the dr with the best bedside manner I have ever met. He listens patiently, reacts with empathy, explains the options thoroughly and best of all, I got the feeling he is a doctor because he really wants to help patients and not because of the money. He responds to my e-mail enquiries with 24 hours. He is always willing to assist in any way he can. I can highly recommend dr Laubscher to anybody with a shoulder problem - it is hard to find a brilliant dr that is nice too!
