Dros Greenstone

Went there for dinner and we saw a MOUSE. We let the waitress know and she called the manager to let him know and he immediately went on defensive mode, telling us it won’t bite and there’s nothing he can do if they enter through the door. He went on to tell us how much money he spends on pest control and so many other stories basically saying it’s not his fault if the mouse comes through the front door. Not once was he sorry or showed some sympathy or take some accountability. He just rushed there to tell us not to take pictures in his establishment.

I ordered the chicken livers as a starter. I have never in my life eaten something so bad. I have no idea what I got. It was very overfried chicken liver mixed into a bottle sauce and thickened. I am still cringing at the thought.

We were treated by a dear old friend, as it was his birthday, so I didn't want to spoil his day by sending it back. I only managed to eat a third (was gagging by then) and said I really wasn't hungry, so didn't have to order a main meal. There was no way in hell I was risking another meal.

Waitress was very forward and her manner disrespectful.

Sorry to say, I will never eat there again.

Staff no where to be found.found them in the kitchen. Ordered a chicken burger. Meat was still red. Bad service and raw food.

Dros isn't what it used to be.so much room for improvement, the quality is terrible and the prices are not on par

What kak service coffee is ice cold wait for ever for drinks. Will not recoment this place if you are hungry and thirsty. Unfortunately you cant give negative stars doesn't deserve 1 star

Friday night we planned a surprise birthday for my close friend at the karaoke section. The night in general was fun, the guy who host the karaoke does such a great job and the waiter was friendly and helpful.at the end of the night my boyfriend went to the bathroom and was attacked my two men in the restaurants bathroom, who landed up stealing his phone, fortunately they didn’t get his wallet or car keys. The worse is they did not eat at the restaurant and they parked right in front of the restaurant in the paraplegic parking so that they could get away quickly. They attempted to rob my brother first which was a failure due to his girlfriend having his stuff with her. I would like to just warn people of this in edenvale and that better care should be taken of people that they let in. It sad that this happened especially that we have gone to Dros edenvale so many times, I have even celebrated my birthday there.

I popped in to get a take out for lunch, the restaurant seemed quiet however staff were not very helpful. The food was average, nothing to get excited about. I definitely won’t choose this as a lunch spot again…

What a lovely lunch we had. There were 13 of us in total that went for lunch. Lovely place & atmosphere where we all had a delicious lunch & a lovely friendly waitress. Our bills came & we were now busy working out our payments when suddenly the waitress came to our table to tell us to please hand her our bills as the other gentleman wants to pay. We were all totally shocked but extremely appreciative of the kind gesture from this gentleman. Thank you so much for such a lovely treat. What a lovely place to have gone to. Looking forward to returning.

Their prices are too high for food.considering covid.they should try and attract people not rob them.mushroom starter. 75rand.rip off

Great food, attention given to quality. Awesome management. I definitely recommend as a family restaurant!

If you're expecting good ambience, a nice setting and an overall good experience, stay clear of this place.
It's poorly run. The staff aren't well trained at all. Tables and baby high chairs aren't sanitized before being seated. The general cleanliness of the place is below average.
Staff leave alot to be desired. Seems like they're picked at random off the street and told to work without being trained.
That said, the food is good and the drinks are affordable. Although, you might question the conditions in which the food is prepared given the poor hygiene of the place and staff.

Steak wasn't great, way too much grissel in the meat, and very underdone in places, not enjoyable at all.

I the food is nice but they can still do better.coffe is always cold and the food takes more than 40 minutes to be ready

Good, varied menu with plenty of specials and a very good Seniors menu.

A great location for budget friendly specials, everyday of the week has a different special. We went for half price burger Monday - not a huge variety but ok for the price. Service is good, but the background music needed a work over. But, beer is cold and well priced.

I honestly had an amazing experience, the staff were really awesome and there was consistency with checking up on clients I really enjoyed my meal too.

Enjoyed their steak. The letdown was a regular customer who was drunk and kept screaming in the restaurant. He even called the manager and had a chat with her but was never called to order for disturbing other diners. Made for a terrible first experience

This was a good staple place in the Vale but somehow it's getting more and more "quiet". The food is still "good" but not great. Maybe the Dros hey day is over. The one thing that does not help this franchise is the service. The waiters are definitely under trained. Not that they are rude or anything just.something is not right. It's a pity.

Prices are reasonable and staff are friendly. Food is of good quality. Pensioners are especially catered for with seniors cards and menu.
