Park Emmarentia Dam reviews
12 This was our first visit to this venue and I can honestly say that as far as parks go this one was remarkably clean and safe. This park is really popular and was very busy with lots of off the leash dogs all of which were friendly. Plenty of spots for the dogs to take a splash and run around like idiots.
Free entrance, open from sunrise to sunset. Suitable for beginners and prams.
If you are looking for a place to have a relaxed Sunday stroll or if your dog is like Roach and loves to meet new friends.then this is a great spot for you to visit.
It really gives the sense of being in nature. The lake (the dam), the forest, the stream etc.are just wonderful.
The area allocated to dog owners should be bettered monitored by the park security and the dog owners should be more respectful to the other park visitors. Not everyone is comfortable around dogs.
Beautiful clean well kept park. I've been coming here for years. Great for mountain biking trails, long peaceful walks in nature, Taking the kids to the play area or feeding the ducks at the dam.
Very relaxing atmosphere in the middle of joberg. I'd love to see more watersports activities.
A sight never to be missed, the iconic emmerantia musjid minaret shimmering over the water at sunset.
Lovely atmosphere. Real family place. Kids will love it adults can go cycling. Good place to unwind.
Need lot of attention from government.no public shops to buy goodies, icecream n sweets although there r some vendors. Viewing deck is not up to mark.good garden to spend time with family.
It is dirty and not at all maintained by the municipality. Lots of vagrants and LOTS of rats. Broken bottles, plastic and all kinds of trash in the water. I was disgusted. Left after barely an hour. Just did not feel safe.
Park and children's play area was in quite a neat condition. Beautiful views of the park and dam areas. Plenty ducks/geese to feed.
Just beautiful. Amazing place to distress. Fresh air and friendly staff at the shop. Pancakes and ice cream was lovely. Dam is really clean and several benches to sit and watch the beautiful scenary.
Beautiful place. Very calm and serene. Good for a family picnic, a sunday jog or just a play date with the kids
Great and safe place to hang out and have picnics with family and friends. Also enjoyed interacting and feeding the ducks
We loved Emmerentia dam. Its beautiful, well looked after and safe.
We were very surprised to find out that we needed to pay an entrance fee because we were a group larger than 15. No where does it mention a fee.not on the gate nor on the website.upon paying no receipt could be giveen out?
