The menu at Fishmonger Rosebank is a seafood lover's dream come true. The variety of fresh catches from both local and international waters is impressive. I decided to dive into a seafood extravaganza and began with the prawn and calamari combo for starters. The prawns were succulent, and the calamari was tender and perfectly seasoned.

For the main course, I couldn't resist the seafood platter for two. It featured an array of mouthwatering delights, including grilled fish, mussels, and a generous serving of perfectly prepared lobster. The flavors were extraordinary, and the portion was generous enough for sharing, making it an excellent choice for a special occasion.

Normally we eat at fishmonger illovo it’s our first time trying rose bank the food is not nice at all for the price you pay! Like you eating at ocean basket very bad quality the atmosphere is not nice service is ok we paid over 1600 and we didn’t eat most of the food definitely won’t be back not worth it all

Good seafood place, I had it grilled and healthy, nice hot sauces. The seafood is fresh and testy. However, the grilled whole fish was overcooked. In case you go alone don't forget your smartphone, the atmosphere is a bit boring.

This is not your normal Fishmonger. It is very upmarket. I took my father / family there for Father’s Day. Amazing experience. We sat outside. The service was exceptional. From the time we entered, we were treated like royalty. The food was so fresh and really delicious. As a family we love fish / seafood. The other reviews say best fish / seafood restaurant in Joburg. I agree 100%. Our waitress Constance really made it special for us. One of my favourite restaurants now.

Wow! Great welcome by Reinios the Manager who picked us out of the wandering crowd as we had booked and it just got better, food is so good and a sensible but great menu so everything is fresh! Fair prices for what is Silver Service and frankly the best seafood experience that I have had World Wide in the last 12 months, baring in mind I have been on 50 flights in the last year to all corners of the world. Gibson was our waiter and super charming, professional and friendly and Reinios came over to check all was good. Now my number one fish restaurant globally!

I was there about a week+ ago and order 5 medium wild oysters.
They smelled very unpleasant and I thought maybe it's me, until I ate them.
They were totally off and dry inside, the smell was just disgusting.

Really great experience! The food was excellent, try the Gourmet platter and the crab cake. We went there 2 nights in a row…. Deserts worth a try too. Waiters extremely friendly and even helped us to find an Uber for the ride home. Thank you!

The newly renovated Fishmonger at the Firs in Rosebank is simply exquisite. The staff are helpful & friendly & the atmosphere easy and casual.
The food is so fresh and well prepared it feels like you in a coastal town. My favourite dish is the signature oven baked seafood, absolutely deliciously yummy

Fast and careful service. The staff are good, although the menu could have more options to play around with mixing things. The drinaks are a bit overpriced, so be carefull about that.

From the moment we stepped into this restaurant we received the most exceptional service! The food was phenomenal, the ambience was superb and we were truly treated like royalty; greeted by all the staff on arrival and well taken care of throughout our time there. A big thank you to our waiter, Kevil, who was attentive, caring and knowledgeable. We recommend the Gourmet Platter (wish we had pics but we ate too quickly despite the generous portion) as well as the Rose Pomegranate Turkish Delight dessert - we have read a few reviews stating that the desserts were small, but with fine dining experiences, they should be! We'll definitely be back.

I absolutely love quaint, well run restaurants. Fishmonger is one of the few remaining gems and the standard is still great. Their seafood is delicious, their wine list is superb, the staff are efficient. It's always a pleasure to frequent

Ordered sushi to-go and was treated like royalty while I waited. The staff was enthusiastic and didn’t wait for me to greet them first. Food was packaged well and everything I needed was inside. Loved the ambiance of the restaurant and promised myself to return and dine-in sometime!
