I am so full and happy I am going to bed. Proper quality food at a proper reasonable price. Just wish I would eat less when I visit.

The only thing that I enjoyed was the coke. Starter was a chicken and sweet corn soup (DONT DO IT) it was sweetcorn straight out of the can with shredded chicken, no flavour whatsoever. I had to take some of the gravy of the won ton soup just so I could finish. Main was scallion prawn with rice, that meal was drenched in all gold tomato sauce. Nothing enjoyable at all. I’d like to know what people eat for a 5 star review cause in my opinion I think you all high from the green tea they serve. Highly disappointed. Won’t see me again.

My wife and I both settled for the set dinner menus - Chicken Soup, Deep-fried Prawns, Pork and Beef finished off with bowtie and tea

I have been a client of Foo Wah for 30+ yrs. The cuisine is no longer the same authentic quality nor is the dining experience. My expensive meal was served in aluminium foil instead of the hot skillet I am accustomed to and the food was mediocre. No more food warmers to keep the meal piping hot. What can I say other than disappointing. In times of economic hardship this is no way to bring customers back. Loyalty comes at a price. Quality always tops mediocrity.

Great restaurant with a good selection of dishes prepared with skill. The decor is also very special and authentic Chinese.

Always an amazing time at Foo Wah, the food is amazing, the servers are friendly and helpful, atmosphere is on point too, it's the perfect Chinese dining experience.

Staff are always so friendly, extremely helpful and make every effort to accommodate special requests, even when it's a bit inconvenient. Food is always fantastic, never once had a bad experience here in the 30 odd years I've been a customer. Portions are very generous and to top it all off, they are one of the very, VERY few restaurants whose food arrives hot and fresh via delivery, even if there's a delay. Ingredient quality is top notch.

Sweet n sour Chicken was hard and not cooked properly. It tasted funny and was mushy, not nice and crispy. Threw half away as I was worried it was off.

We have been going to Foo Wah for over 20 years. The service is good, food delicious and the ambience is nice.

The ONLY place you'll eat the best pepper black bean beef chow mein. Just the right amount of chillies.

Dune in and Take Out have never failed us.
Any time of the day meals except when they are closed. Take a drive to them and if they are open order food, If they are closed atleast now you know when not to go there next time.

This is possibly the best Asian cuisine you'll find in the entirety of Johannesburg. Their dishes are all homemade, and I have never tasted anything that's beaten their Chicken Chow Mein.

Ordered sizzling chicken from there on 14th feb 2022, in the 15th Feb, I had salmonella. I'm assuming new owners and bad food! Been going there for the last 20 odd years. Unfortunately their time is done. Terrible food

Had my Daughters 16th birthday here and it was amazing! So helpful. Food and service was excellent and the Decor is gorgeous.

It's unfortunate. They really have gone down. The food left us feeling ill. My wife was sick after. Mine repeated on me for like 2 days. The service was awful and pretty unhelpful. The seats were dirty and the whole place just has become a bad takeout joint.

How very disappointing. After many years of dining here we have never been let down. Our last experience was, however, dismal. The food was not the same as it used to be and the ambiance of the restaurant has completely disappeared. I guess that went away when Eric left. Owner completely disinterested in his guests. As we left the restaurant he was glued to his phone and did not bother to greet. Lack of care it seems.

I never eat Chinese food from anywhere else. Their sizzlers are amazing and the set menu is definitely worth it. Always good quality
