Restaurant Fumo reviews
16 I have no words
Apparently it used to be good so something has changed. They didn't have most of the dishes on their menu. They use students to serve, which is fine but at least train them! This kid came to our table and said 'HI GUYS' in the most disrespectful way. They didn't have dessert. Vegetables were over cooked and they bought wrong order TWICE!
The food was the only saviour for our Valentines dinner. The service was terrible. Very slow, waited 15mins just to get wine glasses and a bottle opener. Each new course was served without cutlery and we had to wait for that. We spent over 2 hours there and still took dessert as take away, because of the long wait times. We even had to go pay in front, as no one brought the bill, that we asked for twice.
My husband and I are also not feeling too great today, so we suspect the oysters were not entirely fresh, as we only ate beef for the rest of the meal.
Honestly if you are looking for "italian food" go elsewhere
One of our dishes the chef had missed to add the chorizo. This was addressed by them (the manager) bringing a few pieces that we could add or selves to the dish 10 minutes after the dish was served (nice having a cold dish). Explanation was chef was sorry that he/she forgot the ingredients, interesting since the chorizo was one of the main components.
The two other dishes sea food pasta was bad. Pasta very soggy and the sea food ingredients’ was very chewy.
Plus side our waiter was very good.
Manager was appalling with how he handled a dish situation. Advice to the manager is that next time a part of the dish is missing. Take back the whole dish and prepare a new one. We were the only guests eating at the restaurant so would have been an easy fix and must likely a happier guest.
Please look elsewhere for Italian food and don’t visit to the Fumo is not worth the while.
Came for supper on a set menu with some overseas guests. We had the worst service I have ever experienced in a restaurant. It was a huge embarrassment - we had to ask for our food, and winelist, salt and pepper. The waiter asked how we done we wanted to have the fish! We got out second course after waiting 2.5 hours - without any cutlery to eat it with. We also had to ask for cutlery for the next courses. Guests around us had similar problems - except that some had their courses arriving in the wrong order. The people next to us clapped their hands when their dessert finally arrived. The food was tasty and very well presented. We will not return.
Horrible, the pasta wasn’t well cooked, they didn’t have dry lemon in stock and oh there were only 2 tables occupied, so that was a clear indicator of how horrible the restaurant is
Had a waiter that was very slow. It is acceptible if still a trainee. There was no ice. I ordered a bolognaise type pasta, but got something with fish and peas. I ate 2 bites as I did not want to make a scene. I was really sick afterwards
I literally eat at Fumo every week. Every time it’s a culinary experience. Ask for the specials, they always have something coming in that is not on the menu.
The food is beyond excellent. The service is awesome and the overall vibe of the restaurant is beautiful. Love it!
The superb and friendly way and manner the waitress attend to clients is worth writing home about.
The manager, Deborah is outstanding in her interactions, full of smiles and always ready to make sure clients receive the maximum service satisfaction. She sometimes goes out of her way to personally serve when the needs arises. Keep rolling the good work

Extremely slow service and it was not even busy. The food was horrible and i raised this with the waiter and he did nothing. Never again!
Some of the food is amazing. Waiters and chefs are friendly. The manager/ owner isn’t very friendly. He would walk around and greet other patrons with big groups but never approached me. I ate there several times and not once did he welcome me or ask if everything was okay. Fortunately the rest of the staff made up for this. I found that there is inconsistency in the pricing. Each time I went I would either get charged a different rate for the same dish or the price went up or it was taken off the menu. There was also inconsistency in what was served with the dish I ordered. Sometimes I would get fresh bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping. Sometime not. Once I requested it and the waiter said I will be charged for it because it doesn’t come with the meal. I just got the sense that management was trying to cut corners to maximize profits without due consideration of the customers. I stopped going as a result.
Service was average. No menus were given, service was slow, Corona protocols were taken lightly. But at least the food was good.
Such an awesome place to be at always, it never dissapoints. The food was amazing hands down. The manager is prompt and amazing. I recommend the sea food pasta anyday.talk about fine dining
Very good restaurant, food very good, waiters are fast and friendly. If you like Italian cuisine you must come and have dinner here
We booked for Christmas Day. They ran out of cutlery and serving dishes for desserts. They did not have juice and other non alcoholic drinks. They did not have a drinks menu. The main portion was small and not tasty. They overcharged us on the tip and tried to make us pay more than what was due. Overall, the staff seemed unprepared and distracted and the experience was not worth the price charged.
