Horrific Experience
I am an Indian lady of 49 years old.let us begin there. Today the police went to arrest the owner Ken of this place for assault and damage to my property as well as theft of my Iphone, Bank cards, Cash and ID.
I found this place a couple months ago whilst shopping. Its probably my 5th time on Saturday. I don't live very far away. And I would go after shopping to eat lunch and drinks or dinner. This saturday I went there again after shopping for some dinner and drinks. I met a friend another lady same age as me.we stayed till late about 9pm as they had karaoke.and I do love karaoke. Everything was fine until I went to the ladies toilet. I was attacked by the owner in the Ladies toilet while waiting my turn as the were other ladies in the toilet too. I actually never met him before. He accused me of causing problems with someone and I know I did not cause problems with anyone. He attacked me by throttling my neck and pushing me out the bar. He shoved throttled and pushed me out to the parking area where I tripped on the tar. He then kicked me, dragged me further to my car. Someone brought my bag to him that contained all my belongings and car keys. I don't know who as he was still assaulting me. He opened my car shoved me inside and proceeded to violently squeeze my neck till I felt I was going to black out. I was placed down with the back of my head by the accelerator half my body on the seat and he had his knee in my tummy. That is when I started fighting for my life. He only stopped after I was kicking him off me. He broke the gears in my car. He broke the Steering wheel as well. I just do not know how I ever thought this was a safe place to go too being so close to my home. I have injuries on me that I have never experienced before in my life. Nobody really helped until they saw that I was fighting him off me from inside my car. I heard someone tell him to leave me alone and let me go. I went straight to police. And I will not let him get away with this as no female is safe if he gets away with this. And no I vehemently do not recommend this place. This place will be in my nightmares forever.

Management treats their customers, and staff, like children. I will not hand over money to someone so rude and unapologetically careless about keeping their regular customers happy (management).

I've seen them chase away other customers before, and this is the last time for me too. Non of my family or friends ever intend to give them the time of day again, not in this economy.

Social distancing and mask wearing are nowhere in this place - packed in like sardines most days. So if you enjoy a side of Covid with your beer, this is the place for you.

Be very aware, Covid hotspot, amazing to discover that both owners contacted Covid from a customer, no suprise, no social distancing, no mandatory sanitizing on entry, now and again your asked to fill in a form, why bother, once they contracted it, only put it out on Facebook, nevermind the 60% that weren't on social media, never checked the forms and informed others, now 2 weeks later he wears a mask, nothing done on any safety protocols, clearly just in it to make money, the place normally empty, gets busy at night, it becomes a hotspot, but the staff will waver sanitizer and sign in, for a drink order, they also don't serve after 9pm, unless you're a regular, go across the road, a real bar, temp checks, sanitized! Safe

Nice pub but terrible service. Hamburgs from here are not at all good. The menu is outdated

Food stale.time and time again.owner and her boyfriend have attitude.sitting there / acting up as if they are the owners of Sun City. Drop the attitude.make sure you never use old salad / buns for your burger.and when you order buns.dont go for the cheapest that falls flat when try to eat it. Spend a couple of bucks and get a proffesional to vet your menu.lastly
get some proper shading for your deck.

Service was efficient atmosphere was great but it lost one star to me as the loaded chips with mince had virtually no mince on and the mince was dry and clumpy i just hope this wasnt the norm otherwise the menu and kitchen needs some improvement

The menu no longer has a sprinkling of authentic Scots meals. Like the very healthy Scotch eggs.

The menu now just looks like any other place in town. But with a bit of a Portuguese leaning. #Odd.

The Irish side of me was happy with the supply of Guinness on-tap though!

Great value pub, with a friendly atmosphere. Food is good and alcohol is cheap. Just have to ask for a menu second time that a menu was not offered. But waitress was friendly enough and efficient after the menu issue was resolved.

The waiter was not very interested in us he was more interested in his Co workers. Food was good

Long time local for this area.
Been upgraded in the last few years for the better.

I've been back and there has been some great music. Jack Atlantic and Kerry Sansouci.

Food was good service was slow but still affective. Small place but nice for a bite or a beer! I will go back at some stage!

I like the place but it needs a younger crowed. I'm no youngster, but they bring a more Lively vib and good looking women. Just my opinion.

Good vibes anx atmosphere. Owners are very friendly and care for their clientele safety. Food and service is good. Nice outdoor setting.

Nice place with cool staff, very relaxed atmosphere and one of my favorite places to come after work. Great drink specials!

First time at the PUB, got some old mates who pub there haven't seen a while back but hopefully the next timing is right to see them but place Peter (Edenvale)

Great vibe on Fridays to Sunday lunch. During the week- good on site parking; Food is pub grub- you can get virtually anything, and its good!
Booze bill- depends what you drink? On average standard orders are WELL priced!
Servce is good/regular - depends on the demand!
All said - a good casual quality presentation for good quality interaction!

Great Senior Management Team, Great food variety, always willing to make a plan and Family friendly!

Do not eat the peri peri livers, they are so good you will be back for them on a regular basis, addicted totally addicted.

Excellent and friendly venue, catering for indoor and outdoor sit down, tvs for entertainment, as well as various activities offered (quiz night, live singers, braai etc), along with affordable prices and specials.
Extremely friendly and efficient staff, and Ken makes the effort to do the rounds and talk to everyone, a personal touch rarely seen.
Everyone can mingle and a buzzing, friendly vibe in a nicely done venue that is central.
Really great to come here, enjoy myself immensely.
