Harpers Restaurant reviews
49The friendliest staff and the best service. The most delicious food and the pizza was my favorite.
Excellent service, great food and very comfortable. Staying across the road in a hotel we were looking for a better breakfast offering. Harpers delivered. The waitress and staff were all very pleasant and professional. A great breakfast. Recommended.
This place was elegantly decorated with high ceilings and glass walls. The staffs were friendly and we ordered their weekly dinner special. Their food was good value and quality. My chicken schnitzel was slightly burnt and a bit salty but overall enjoyable. Their beef stroganoff was quite tasty as well.
Wow Wow Wow, Finally I managed to find the place and not doubtful first impression lasted.
Ambience, Location, Service, Food, Value For Money = Excellent. I'm definitely coming back for lunch next time.
I love the calmness of the environment, it’s such a nice place for any time of the day. Dinner vibes are so awesome slow and relaxing.
Lovely restaurant, their food are very tasty. Service is really great. The waiters are always smiling and happy to serve their clients.
Really great food, but don't get there even one minute before 6pm, or you pay nearly double the 'specials' price!
Only met there for coffee, which was fine, its a lovely place and everything was great and relaxed, but found the waitresses 'hovering' too much and pushy. May go back to try the food when maybe the service will be different.
Great, friendly service. BLT and lemon chicken wrap first class. Very quick. Beautifully presented. Even a gingerbread man for grandson to take home!
My experience is the quality of their food has dropped, it's missing some ingredient that I can loosely describe as "taste is lost". I think COVID has put financial pressure on Harpers.
My wife and I came here for a Friday lunch. The food is top quality. We ordered two pizzas and both tasted amazing. One small compliant on the food is that the pizza base was very slightly under done, only if it was in the oven 30 seconds longer. Another issue is the service was very slow. The restaurant wasn't completely full so we thought we would be in and out within an hour. However, we were there for almost 2 hours. Overall, we would definitely come back and try something else on the menu. If the service is better then I will change it to 5 stars.
It's a nice place to have private meetings and conversations or just a quiet evening with good food and no distractions
Great food, always.
Negative- No privacy when sitting at the 1st table from door. Waiters in your face.
Just as lovely as it was when it was in Stuttafords. Very friendly and helpful waiting staff. Pretty decor. You get transported out of a mall environment. Great for a girls' coffee. Also great for family meals. Very varied menu.
I have such nostalgic feelings about Harpers, my Grandmother used to take us there as teenagers for lunch after browsing around Stuttafords, they made the best Welsh Rarebit too, but taking my son for a treat this afternoon, I couldn't have been more disappointed. It's no longer value for money, it's REALLY expensive and I had the worst cheesecake I have ever eaten in my life, it was chewy, and not even well presented, I didn't need to wonder why the place was empty. Our server however was lovely, friendly and efficient.
Harpers got a very nice serene environment, the meals are served neatly and calmly, nice slow music, and the attendants were friendly and swift.
I had a very nice cappuccino. If you need a quiet and clean environment to relax for a nice breakfast, I would recommend it.
Wow, can they be any worse at mathematics, over charged us in broad daylight, mmade us waiting longer cause the dollar store Johnny Sins aka the manger can't do mathematics right, then he goes off being rude and when proven wrong neither apologizes nor gives us our R457 change, he just jets. Wouldn't recommend cause they are bums.
Amazing food and great waiters. I visited two days in a row (don't judge me) and both the ladies that looked after us were absolutely wonderful
I enjoyed my meal there for the first time I was there and the service from the waiters was awesome and food I ordered was more than delicious worth my money
Heard about Harper's through friends and we immediately decided to go try it out last night but sadly it was closed because we went late. We found ourselves in Eastgate this afternoon and decided to pay them a visit.
This is such a lovely restaurant. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The drinks and food are a 10 out of 10!
We had the focaccia bread for starters. We decided to go Mexican for today. We ordered Tacos and Quesadillas.
The cocktails were out of this world. The place is very beautiful and cosy. Great spot to grab a breakfast, do brunch or a dinner.
Loved it! ️
