HEALth-WorX Medical & Dental Centre - Carlswald

I took my 2 yr old daughter to Healthworx with a high fever and bad cough (common flu symptoms).She was seen by Dr Barnabas (female). I had a great frontline experience welcomed by Neo she was super welcoming and helpful. We were assisted by a nurse for triange to get her vitals checked . They gave her something for the fever while we were waiting for the Dr as she was in a meeting. Dr. eventually came and saw her presented herself well ,however, it was a very rushed consultation.She diagnosed and prescribed medication, and we were out .However during the weekend while medicating my daughter as requested she was not getting better Monday morning i called pasted 8 asking if the same Dr could see her as she waa not looking to well, Frontline (Shaylene) said i should call back at 9 , So i called back past 9 she mentioned Dr could only see her late afternoon , At this point my daughter never ate or drunk anything and her fever was high. I asked her if it's possible if Dr. could give me a call, seeing that she saw her on Friday. Dr calls me back, But let me tell you the tone and attitude was on another lever she had no telephonic etiquette at all she literally never gave me a chance to speak and said i should take her to a paedrition to see her. i was bong smacked by how she spoke to me,She was continuing to say that she has other px to see and that they are fully booked , she even suggested i should call the manager if i had a problem and cut the call. Me being furious and shocked thats what i done called the assistant manager Ezelle/Estelle (NOT 100% SURE) i explained what happened she was no help at all , I asked her for her email she said she will send it via sms.i am Still waiting! While on the call with her, i was literally on my way to Waterfalls' netcare emergency . To find my daughter with a fever of 39.6, we arrived at 10:08 they saw at triange she was taken in and immediately gave her meds for fever, all blood tests, and xrays its now bronchi. Would not recommend Dr. Barnabas for kids or for any px, she is completely rude and has no compassion towards her px, no etiquette , she is very rushed and money hungry.

Dr Khansti is the best. She is so welcoming and patient, excellent with my 3 year old. She is not a doctor by chance.

Went their today as my wife may have broken her foot. What a waste of time.
Would have been better off phoning our vet. Staff did not have a clue.

I don't know what the point is to schedule appointments at Healthworx Carlswald. Waiting over hour now past our appointment time. How exactly is this considered acceptable for a private clinic. Queues in government hospitals probably move faster than this.

Very disappointed i had an appointment @ 16: 00, Dr Mactamy,
was running late was there about ah hour, I had another appointment so i had leave and rebook it for the following day @13: 00 however i was there for 2 hours, other people arrived after me went before me.i spoke to the receptionist after 1 and half hour they said you are next on line, clearly i wasn't and i just left, i am changing to another

Such a horrible place. Can you imagine being turned back when you are clearly not well because their multiple doctors are fully booked

Reception is slow. Seem stressed all the time and sometimes tend to be rude.
When we call we are placed on hold for a long time.

Disappointing service!
First appointment with Dr Bangaar could not be upheld, no reason given. I accepted the transfer to Dr Khantsi, who I thought was extremely professional, despite only attending to us an hour after our appointment schedule time. I can understand that she may be filling in for others, so it was not a problem to wait.
My biggest problem is the Doctors promise of getting back to you on Pathology results after requesting tests, and not responding for almost the entire day. I had to make enquiries by myself to get any traction, despite my contact details being correct.
Thank you for the emergency script, but it's not an emergency if you have to wait for 4 days to get a phone call from a doctor, to give any guidance.
We have been patients with this practice for many years, unfortunately, I think that time has come to part ways. I will be discouraging friends and family from making use of your service.
A big thank you to the receptionist (who did not identify herself) for following up for me, and correcting contact details again. It is strange that a patients contact information changes without your consent or request, but we will blame that on the system, considering that my wife had no issues with contact details until this visit.

This is our third time going here. What wonderful service we have had. From the reception to the doctor to the nurses. Thank you so much for all your help and kindness with my daughter. Instant relief when leaving the doctors room. Our doctor was so knowledgeable and explained in detail.

We knew about Health Worx via a friend's reference.
Receptionists were friendly, even the car guard was helpful.
Outside building & Facility may need to be upgraded for fresh look.
Dr Mike Clarke was very attentive & gently with my daughter.
There are also Xray and physio on site.
Will definitely use the service in the future again.

The nurses at this establishment are unprofessional and rude. I was put on hold told they call me back and I had to phone them back again. If it wasnt for my GP being there I wouldnt go back to this place.

I highly recommend Dr Clark to everyone.he patiently listens to every detail and explain each and every sign why r u feeling this particular way… he will go to an extent to contact u the following day to check if u getting any better… I have found my go to doctor after more 6 yrs juggling in between practice to find a perfect Doctor…. Thank u Dr Clark

1 hr 30 late, for my sons appointment.
When i call in, the first sloppy receptionist who is apathetic, says they'll see him now now. Without knowing who the patient is.
I say that's not good enough and get transferred to the doctors rooms.
The 2nd receptionist says they can't help what happens during the day, there were emergencies.

Looking at many the other reviews, this is clearly a planning problem they don't want to address. Our time also has value, it's not a 1 way street.

Receptionist are terrible at answering the phones and at letting you know when your doctor isn’t there.

If it wasn’t for Dr Barnabas being here I can assure you I would NEVER go back to this unprofessional place again. The way the reception and accounts handle and treat clients by also misinforming clients that they will be covered on medical aid, is pathetic.
Before I came here I asked if I would be covered with the plan and medical aid I’m on, I was assured I am.

I am however glad I came across Dr Barnabas here he is amazing, pity for where he is but I will return only because of him.

Based at Carlswald shopping centre, on the upper level, one can also easily miss this place. They house a range of medical professionals from GPs to auxiliary services and x-ray. Long wait, not the cheapest but convenient if you are based in the area.

I have been phoning to secure dentist appointment and upon pressing 2vdor dentist it rings forever and I drop when my phone clocks 2 minutes. Very bad service

Reshma Dhaver the physiotherapist at the Health Worx has been amazing in my recovery after my accident with my neck. I have chronic Bruxism and her technique is amazing. Thank you for all the amazing support and care you have given me over the years.

I love th3 experience I had at this place. It is very clean, the doctor is very helpful and understand every symptoms you having. He suggests every possible elements that can be treated. The supporting team is also very helpful and kind.
