Horse And River Pub & Grill

Sorry not my cup of tea. Music too loud, interior dark and dingy, meat over cooked on both occasions. Sat outside which was nice in the winter sun. No attempt to break the view of the parking and awful Grey paving.

The food is very homey and comforting. Ice never had a bad meal. The staff are always friendly. It's a great spot for a meal with friends or family. It is a pub, so can be a little loud, especially if you have little children. Overall, I'd recommend to anyone!

Best in the Vaal! Amazing burgers and we absolutely live their rustic hand-cut chips! Their steaks are always prepared perfectly. Awesome and friendly service!

Had lovely breakfast and delicious coffee there. Food was great. Service excellent. Prices are a reason to go back.

Serve beer that is past expiring date.only to get sick and spend all night on the toilet. Food more expensive but quality and portions became poor. Very disappointing. Never again

The food is to die for. Very affordable, huge portions and tasty food. I went there twice and have every intention to go back. Please try their fish and calamari dish, it is delicious.

Absolutely the best staff, best food and what an amazing vibe.
Surely a place that i would love to visit more often.

Food is great. Big portion sizes. Good value for money. Vibe is good and mostly gets you in a party mood. No romantic dinner destination or likely to be quiet enough to enjoy a conversation without some screaming though. Remember to tip your waitresses! They deserve it for being so cute and friendly.

My absolute favourite Pub! I love going out to Horse and River with my family. It has been our Sunday lunch spot for the past four years! We basically have lunch their every week and if we do not sit-down we order in. Great and efficient waiters, AMAZING food at a reasonable price! Miss eating here since I moved away.

Food takes some time to arrive on busy days but it's always worth the wait, especially the baskets you can order!

Horse and River did not disappoint! Traveled from Potchefstroom to check this gem of a place out. Great staff, fast service, value for money. Loved the atmosphere. Was a great quick getaway from the working life. Loved the Stack Burger and chips!

Went there during the day for a late lunch. The food was really good and tasty, good prices and a nice variety to choose from. Will definitely go back there.

A place with a chilled vibe to it, bar is inexpensive and the food is great, shows are not too bad either. Try it out!
