This place need to change.
- Didn’t provide test results on time, no phone call to confirm when they were ready.
- Approached an ill patient on a drip to take payment for treatments instead of waiting until treatment had been completed.
- Worst of all, nurse didn’t / wouldn’t wear disposable gloves whilst taking blood!
When questioned on this she replied, “Well I’m not touching your blood”
So how many times do gloves get bloody during minor, routine procedures such as blood drawing?!
She swabbed the spot where the needle was going in before patting it with bare fingers! So her hands (skin) is sterile, then?! Ridiculous.
Thousands of Rands for this?!

Their GP Dr Liam Hoskins needs to learn compassion & manners when treating patients. Not sure if he is just a rude person with a chip on his shoulder or biased towards certain people. I will not recommend any decent person suporting this man

I was booked for a surgery 4 weeks in advance. On the day of the surgery the theatre was not ready in time. After a 1 hour delay the theatre was ready and I was given general anaesthesia.

A major piece of equipment failed during the surgery, the equipment that stops blood flow was not tested and was not working. When the doctor put the equipment on it wasn’t working so the surgery was called off. A backup was not available. If the doctor has made the cut and put the equipment on later I would have bled out. This is level on competence I was faced with.

I was put under general anaesthesia for vibes. I took leave at work for vibes. I moved all my client projects and put my current projects on hold for vibes.

Just had my wisdoms removed yesterday by the amazing Prof. C Ferretti & my brilliant anaesthetist Dr Laserhon.
They were both incredibly patient with my nervousness, explained everything as they were doing it, were very accommodating & this was the first time I’ve woken up from general anaesthetic without having a shaking attack from the after effects.

Big hats off to them as well as the team at Intercare - had such a smooth, happy experience from my admittance to my discharge.

The hospital receptionists were bubbly and made me laugh so much, the nurses were super accommodating and equally made me laugh as much, so many good vibes despite the pandemic!
It was super clean, comfortable and couldn’t have asked for anything more.

If it was possible to give a minus 5 for reviews I would have. It is such a shame. It is a beautiful hospital but unfortunately the staff in the sub acute section (especially night shift) are careless, rude and lacking basic training.

My wife had surgery on Friday and had to stay at the hospital till sunday morning. No one bothered to check up on her, nor bathe her, and If she press the "assist" button, someone eventually after 10 mins will show up and be very rude to her.

I left messages for both hospital manager and theatre manager to call me back but I guess that will probably never happen.

My daughter had 4 wisdom removed by Doc Polakow today 18/11/20. Excellent treatment and update.
Hospital staff at Intercare Sandton friendly and make you feel at ease. Shout out to Pam and Thuli Nkosi.
Anesthesia done by Dr Sischy also excellent and explained everything in details.
Thanks Doc Polakow and tram.

After an admin error on their behalf, they handed my account over to their legal representatives. The account was immediately paid and yet they still demand that I pay legal fees - for their admin error. The staff have been excessively unfriendly and unhelpful. I have been passed around on calls from office to office and no one can help me. I have discovery medical aid and no one, not discovery or intercare can even tell me what the legal feels are. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
