Terrible experience with one specific receptionist at the Dentist offices.

The lady confuses me with the wrong patient, and doesn't even bother to apologize.

Then, she tells me that I owe +-R1700 for the visit and that I need to go downstairs to the cashier's.
I get downstairs to the cashier's and I am told that it went through on medical aid. This is PURE incompetence and laziness. And it's not the first time with this specific receptionist.

Centre has the friendliest and most helpful staff. From reception to the Doctors. Exceptional service from start to end really.

Happy to have found such a thorough dentist who is right around the corner. Particularly happy with Dr Razak’s service.

Dr Lotz is an amazing, kind and caring doctor. He listened to everything I mentioned and he took the time to explain everything thoroughly. He even looked up how much the ECG would cost me before he just took me through to have it done. He also sent me for blood tests which I've always been curious to be tested for and he also phoned me early in the morning as soon as he got the results. In the phone call he didn't just get straight to the point of the results, he first checked how I am feeling today. He also waited for my consent to add other medications to the script. Thank you Dr Lotz for your compassion. And thank you to the nurse who made sure I felt comfortable when she did my ECG.

Dr Cilliers is probably the nicest doctor I have ever been to. She is kind, empathetic, and went out of her way to accommodate me. Really grateful to have lovely people like her in healthcare. Good beside manner makes such a difference.

Had a tooth filling. Was charged R1000 plus. After two days the filling came loose and fell out. When contacted the dentist i was informed by reception that i have to pay again for a new filling

Where to begin.

GP's, recommend Dr. Lotz! He is extremely thorough although young but still has that interest in knowing and healing his patients without bombarding with meds e.g has most likely solved my wife's health struggles that a gp, neurologist, psychologist, massage therapist, alcohol couldn't fix! Extremely good with kids and just an all round great doctor!

Dental, Dr Zane is by far the best I've "unfortunately" had to go and see, lol, but is extremely patient with his patients and ensures your pain levels are as low as possible, doesn't judge, he listens, pays attention amd puts you first! Not a lot of places I can say that for and currently the only one that I would trust again with myself, my wife and two kiddies!

Practice in general, extremely clean amd friendly, you can actually see the care in their eyes when you are unwell in any situation and always willing to go the extra mile! All round great institution and I really do appeal to anyone that if unwell know you'll get there with this institution without trying to break you financially!

Well done Intercare and Docs! Would've given higher rating but there is only 5 stars available.

The doctors are a disgrace to the medical profession. Complaints are handle poorly. Satisfaction definitely NOT GUARANTEED!

It's unethical that I have to be charged for a missed appointment when I was in hospital at the time because I couldn't get immediate care with your doctor. The fact that you even made a claim from my medical aid for a no show gives a sense of how morally messed up this institution really is.

I have been a patient at Intercare Wilgeheuwel for many years. Dental and GP. This is not the first time that I am unable to get emergency assistance. I phoned Saterday at 12H00 to ask is the dentist on duty can see me, I was told straight up that the Dr is just finishing his last patient and stated that he is going home. Although the practice hours is until 13H00. I ended up driving to JHB to find a dentist prepared to help me. Is this standard practice for a Dr not to help patients. Even for an emergency.

My daughter saw Dr. Surtee (dentist) a few weeks ago and he was amazing. He was gentle and also explained everything that he was busy with in a way that she could understand. I will definitely take her to see him again.

Visited Dr Botten on 21 Sep 2022 at Intercare Wilgehauvel, I asked for chronic forms and repeat script, while at doctor's rooms, sent all info to Jaden the receptionist, chronic forms to be filled was charged a consultation fee without informing me, chronic forms and repeat script not sent after 2mths chronic forms sent but still no repeat script called Jaden who arranged telephonic consultation without my consent, Dr Botten called, spoke for 2mins charged R356 and another amt for repeat script, I read other reviews seems that Dr Botten and Jayden is getting away with fraudulent and deceitfulness. Spoke to manageress Priscilla who seems to be justifying that they are right. How many people are they going to cheat. There's no JUSTICE!

I recently visited Intercare Wonderboom in Pta for the first time, since my GP Dr Rossouw moved there. From the very first moment I was blown away not only by the beautiful facility but by every single person that works there. It's friendly, professional, extremely well organized. I will have to single out Sr Karen Kruger which heads the diabetics dept. I was diagnosed a few months ago and went for a consultation with her. She is so patient, considerate and just an awesome human being. She is guiding me through this sometimes daunting journey. I simply cannot believe that this level of service is still given. It's sad that we are shocked by great service these days. It's the exception rather than the norm.

Had an amazing experience with Dr Surtee (dentist). He took the time to explain the process and procedures with such care, and made sure I understood everything. He worked with a light hand and very efficiently. Would def come back, and recommend him to others!

Getting through the switchboard its a journey, no answer from the baby clinic and the switchboard lady doesn't even help. Disappointed.

Poor Time management, appointments are delayed with more than 30 min and no explanations are given to patients.

Two separate occasions of poor quality of service received when trying to make appointments online & via email.

The practice is listed as part of the Discovery Wellness Centres yet there is no Bio at the practice to do the Fitness Assessment.

Virtual GP consult was cancelled & I was notified I would need to go in person to complete a new patient intake form, despite having already received an email to complete a digital form which I could have uploaded to the consult link or emailed to the practice. Furthermore, I've consented that my personal information may be shared between the practices.

Its frustrating for patients that the practice is listed as a Discovery Health provider & offers virtual consults, yet the practice cannot offer the services and/or the staff are not aware of the processes.

I am extremely disappointed and disturbed by how Intercare Wilgeheuwel works. I went there on the 25th May 2022 with my son and was seen by DR Botten who did not even give me or my son a diagnosis. He just checked us and gave us scripts to go and get medication. On the 27th i phoned again to try and get an extension on my sick note and the Dr was busy as always, called again to leave a message so he can call me back, well eventually he called me back and i told him that i need an extension since I'm not feeling better at all and that I'm still feeling pains and that the antibiotics are not working. He sent me a script which i didn't ask for (painkillers) and he already gave me still pain on the initial appointment. Now i receive an email thay there are claims that i must pay because it was a telephonic consultation. I still ask myself why was it a telephonic consultation if i was not consulting nor asking for his professional advice? There is not recording of this consultation abd yet i am charged for something that Priscilla (manager) and Cornelia said they investigated. Which investigation was done? The call was 1: 41 and i was the one talking mostly on the call because i had to explain my need for the extended sick note. Today is the 4th June and i am still not feeling well which means i have to go see a Dr so the Dr can do what Dr Botten partially did. I also read the reviews and it seems Intercare has a tendency of partially assisting their clients and wanting to charge for incompetence. It is wrong for intercare wilgeheuwel to extort us money with no assistance.
