Kota Joe Roadhouse - Wonderboom

Aways a pleasure to visit Kota Joe. Love the milkshakes, there is so many to choose from. The Peppermint Oreo Milkshake is a winner, as well as the Top Deck Milkshake. You can have it normal or double thick. The food is also very good and our kids always love an outing to Kota Joe. The staff is always very friendly and very helpful. The toilets is not always the cleanest though…

I have always heard of Kota Joe, so I decided to check them out. Best service ever, I ordered Jozi kota it wasn't as best as I expected it to be compared to the Kotas that I know, but it was a great one, it was made with love, the place is super clean and so are the stuff members, parking available or you can even order to eat in your car.

Food here is great, the wait after ordering takeaways is just ridiculous. More than dine in.

The kotas here are always fire, but I think they can use a better atchar. It’s not nice having to pick remove things that you cannot chew with every bite.

The staff is always friendly. The service is fast. The food is great, the milkshakes are amazing.

Tried this place for the first time yesterday. I love the vibe.

The food is really something else, flavor profiles and attention to details. I had the chillie cheese and bacon burger which blew me away. The red chillie gave it the heat I never knew it needed. I cooled that down with their pinacolada crusher which really hit the spot.

Overall a great experience, I would highly recommend this for date night.

What an experience. The service was fast. And the food was great. I will go there again for sure. Really pleasant experience

Saw the place while passing by and thought it looks like a great place to eat. What's gonna beat getting one nice KOTA in Wonderboom? Plus, it's not like anyone could really mess up the recipe of something as simple and widespread as a KOTA right? Right? !

Long story short, I'd say this is a KOTA place that doesn't sell KOTA's at all. From a menu list of more than 80 items, there were only 3 KOTAs. The "KOTA" I got (refer to pictures show) is more of a stuffed burger than anything else. Don't get me wrong, it tasted fine, but, the presentation is quite horrible. It doesn't use KOTA bread but something looking like an oversized hotdog bun stuffed with dripping mustard sauce, a bacon, few chips, some chicken strips, and non-fresh salad veggies. And what's more insulting, it costs R99!

The atmosphere is however nice and I had fun sitting there while not enjoying my meal.

Definitely a place I'm going back to. The staff are very helpful and efficient. The menu is Top Tier street food with a fresh twist.

I think in any restaurant, takeaway or roadhouse the food is most important.
Today I had the pleasure of trying the KJ Chicken Dog at Kota Joe's Wonderboom.
Sadly, the best part of that meal was the slightly dry chicken and the bun. The two flavours of sauce don't really compliment each other in my opinion, But again that's just my opinion.
Further more we had some lovely drinks and a very nice seating area to enjoy.

Had best milkshake on earth right here. I cannot wait to go back and experience the rest of the menu they offer

Prices are a bit high compared to a normal kasi Kota, but the service is great and atmosphere was nice

They have great service and great food. My family and I love going here. The milkshakes are fun and different with great flavor. Certainly a stop to make. #Skrew the diet

Not the first time that when we eat there that the waiter completely forgets about us after arriving. After 15 minutes one in our group decided to give a loud shout for attention. Food was good tho and he was friendly after that, good vibes, just never seem to get 5 star service

I was here for the first time today, I loved the service and the food. There is table service and in car service, but we opted to sit in and enjoy our meal there‍️‍️

The is a lot of space for social distancing and the service was very quick. When it came to the food I chose to keep it simple with the cheese burger: which is basically a bun stuffed with chips, beef patty, lettuce, tomato and their special sauce

It tasked amazing, but I decided to add their spicy sauce, and that completed the meal so well. I am still not sure about their their crushers. Because the lemon sorbet that I tried, was not something I would drink again. There was no favour, just ice with a bit of colouring

But I loved the whole experience? I will definitely go back

It was awesome experience. Great for someone with social anxiety, as you eat from your car and don't really interact with as many people.

Good food and good service. They should have a seperate lane for people that are getting takeaway. We had to move multiple times while eating to allow cars to pass.

This place has a variety to choose from, not really expensive. Depending on how many customers there are, food can take long but when you get it, it's really a pleasure. Staff always helpful and friendly

What a cool roadhouse! The menu has loads of options, food is really good and large portions. Milkshake are amzing! Will definitely recommend it to anyone with kids for a fun night out!
