La Madeleine

A special occasion demands a special experience. Attentive service (despite a tour bus of patrons), superb food (fresh available ingredients.just superb preparation and presentation) and everything done just right. Think linen serviettes, correct glasses, appropriate cutlery amazing wine/bubbles selection. It's one of my best dinners ever! Lastly, rhubarb desert.memories of my Mom. Happy birthday, angel. And thank you, Chef.

Gorgeous food served in a pleasant atmosphere by attentive, but not overbearing staff. Highly recommend La Madelaine for a special night out

This restaurant was a delightful experience. Chef and staff were friendly, helpful and informative. The food was delicious.

Warm environment. This restaurant is included in my tour. Good meal, reasonable price my choice is limited to one dish, very good fish.

Our go to restaurant in Pretoria. From the chef to the waitstaff, everybody is on top of their game. Super friendly service where the waiters make you feel like friends that dropped in for a quick visit. The food is beyond amazing, we never had a bad meal and each time we are blown away by new flavours. If you are looking for good hearty french food don’t look any further. The chef sells the menu each time and hearing him describe each course makes your mouth water. Highly recommended! All our expat friends are very impressed when we take them there.

Father's Day was a disappointment. The food was very small portions and not well presented, not what would be expected from the web page. It was an average meal at above average price. Service was bad. Would I return? Not so sure. Can make a Father's Day meal at home for a fraction of the pice, in better ambience.

Food was inconsistent. The starters were average. And the 2 main courses were really great. Service can be slow.

I have been so many times. This time dinner. I have tried many dishes and always good. No formal menu Daniel the chef du patron always introduces the dishes with great Belgian flourish and style. Not the cheapest Pretoria restaurant but always worth the experience.

Great dining experience, excellent food. Loved the personal touch that the owner/chef brings to the place. The staff were efficient and friendly. We will definitely be back

The service and hospitality, the intimacy of the environment, the great variety of cuisine and the affordability makes it awesome.

Dining at La Madeleine is not just a meal, it is an experience. Every morsel is prepared and plated with care and the service is excellent. Although all the dishes was delicious the mushroom cuppichino and desert deserves an extra mention. Five star and highly recommended.

I had an ostrich fillet with cranberry sauce and a prepared pear.it was probably the best thing i have ever eaten. Every bite was as incredible as the first.

I do not remember what my starter was called but it too was amazing. (Something about marinated in beetroot)

The menu is presented verbally so be prepared for that but it was a spectacular experience!

I have fond memories of excellent experiences at this restaurant. Returning for old times sake, turned out to be such a disappointment. The food is mediocre, big portions but with little flavour. The French flair is completely lost in the mindless presentation, and the service is very bad. The worst thing were the flies we had to try and keep away from our food. I will never return and find it so sad.
