La Parada Waterfall reviews
33The tuna tacos and grilled calamari tapas were to die for - unfortunately I can't say the same for the frozen margarita I was excited to pair with it but hey.overall a fine experience, I'm expecting to have a better time the second time around.
Had such amazing service from Mpho! He served my drinks and Hubbly so well! Respectful, friendly and attentive. Thank you Mpho!
Food was a serious let down. Ordered a fish dish and got half a fillet of fish with a side of overdone pasta that was barely seasoned. Seems more like a place to get drinks and go. We waited an hour to get just the main course. Couldn’t order dessert since the kitchen was closed. Waiter didn’t mention this when we were placing our initial orders.
Nice place. Beautiful atmosphere all around. Professional staff.
Well-made cocktails.
The dishes were delicious
Went out for breakfast with my gals and we had a great time. Lovely atmosphere and the service was a 10!
Very quiet and lovely breakfast on the front of the restaurant if you enjoy being in the sun. They however have lots of umbrellas for shade on the very hot mornings. Also very nice hang out for Sundowners on a hot summer's day in Waterfall Corner
Service was prompt.
Food was really good and they kept the refreshments coming.
There is a live music stage out front, which I assume is for holidays. But, the music gets a little loud for conversation.
It catches the afternoon sun really well, and most def the destination if choice for holiday catch ups
Excellent service, staff were friendly and willing to assist with our function. Breakfast was delicious.
It’s a great venue with a good vibe.
The pizza was great though we didn’t understand why it’s not on the menu as we only found out about it when we asked.
I was there with a group of friends for my birthday day, of which it was our first time trying out the place.
We were impressed by the place when we first got there but sadly were not impressed at all by the time we left.
Our orders took forever to get to our table.
Our orders were mixed up at times. We were given drinks we didn’t order instead of the ones we ordered.
At some point our drinks took 30min to get to our table after constantly following up on where our order was.
Then one of my friends asked for the waiter to bring out my gift with a bottle of champagne with strawberries so we can toast & take pics while I open my gifts.
The gifts were brought out but the champagne came 20 minutes after and the strawberries took an additional 10min, after everything was said & done.
We scared to order some more drinks that we ended up going to Life Grand.
The venue and the vibe were amazing.our food took well over an hour to arrive and once it did we only really enjoyed 1 dish out of 8 we ordered. Didnt enjoy my Caribbean ice tea either as it was extremely sweet. Our waiter Tinashe was fantastic but we were left confused by the explanation regarding our meal delay since tables that arrived after us received their meals relatively quickly
Lovely upper middle class establishment. It was a busy night and my food arrived Luke-warm but was delicious enough that I didn't care after the first mouthful. The place where we were sitting was surprising in the way we could clearly hear each other talk despite the place being packed. So points for good acoustics.
Stay far away
Was there this afternoon with a couple of friend, the atmosphere was okay, service sub par, the food is oily and over priced.
My wife had a seafood pasta, when it arrived the pasta was undercooked and flouting in oil, after sending it back the same dish returned and the pasta was dried out. My friend had the fillet which was "chewy", the prime rib I had was overdone and with big pieces of fat.
We complained to our waiter Kenneth but nothing was done.
After paying our one friend approached the manager to bring this to his attention which was not raised with him as he had no knowledge of our bad experiences
This place should not be in business.
Food 3/10 sticky ribs and patatas are good but other dishes not so much. Amazing drink selection
Venue 8/10
Entertainment 9/10
Service 7/10
I had an amazing Birthday experience at La parada. The waiters are friendly and easy to deal with. The manager on duty was also a breeze. Food is amazing and affordable too. They had a live band playing which made my experience even better. Definitely would recommend it to anyone.
A gem in waterfall- Thats La parada!
The waiters where friendly unfortunately I didn't have the chance to taste their food as both the bar and kitchen were closed. But my friends recomend it so till next time.
Good food and a good vibe. However, they sell great pizza (2 for 1 Wednesday special) that is not on the menu, we only found out about it from asking if they serve pizza.
Beautiful place but service was terrible. First thing was when another waiter snatched our table. Then when we got a table, we waited for the order to be taken. Ended up leaving without eating or drinking
The restaurant has such a lovely vibe and seems like a great place to bring friends or a your partner. I was sadly disappointed by how bad the service was. The waiter took forever to get our drinks order and when he did, it took 10 minutes to bring our bottle of wine. He never came back to ask if we were going to order food or anything after that. We then moved inside after the sun started to set which is when we got some sort of attention, by then it was too late and all we wanted was to leave and get food elsewhere.
This restaurant is not a family friendly restaurant. - it’s understandable. It’s a drinking hub. Menu and food
Was ok.
