Lexi's Healthy Eatery reviews
49 We are busy eating here right now, food, service and atmosphere is amazing. The variety is really good there were several items I wanted to try. Service is wonderful everyone works together. Definitely coming back here!
Thank you to Chiara, Noxolo and Khuphe who all made our experience super pleasant!
It was a beautiful first time experience for me. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was great and it is affordable
Food at Lexis Rosebank was awful. Tofu curry was tasteless and rice was dry. Farmers breakfast was also tasteless and dry. Service was good.
I had such a simple meal but it was truly delicious… we made our own breakfast. My son and I had a poached egg on sourdough. The pouched egg was done perfectly - mine well done and my son’s soft. The sourdough was SO fresh and tasty! My daughter had grilled mushrooms, avo and sourdough and loved her food. My latte was really tasty too. They offer oat milk which is great for those who don’t eat dairy. Only disappointment was they don’t offer a vegan butter option - so I used olive oil on my toast. Nice decor and friendly staff too.
Lexi's is a conscious eater's paradise. Whether you're vegan or not, the food is delicious and fresh. The smoothies are fun and fruity. The staff is attentive. It's calm and quiet enough for a lunch date or a midday meeting. I have a lovely time whenever I visit.
Firstly, I am sadden that a vegeterian place decided to introduce some animal products as a protein, natrually they dont call themselves vegetarian anymore. Moreover, some dishes are definetely better than other. I would not recomend the falafel, the taste was very dry and "compact".
Went for dinner last night and everything anyone wanted was sold out. This is not the first time I’ve experienced this at Lexi’s. I think it’s time to reconsider who orders stock and if they’re actually cut out for the job.
Everything was out of stock. What kind of establishment opens their doors only to say they don't have almost everything on their menu
Unfortunately this was my first and definitely last experience here. Absolutely beautiful restaurant however the menu is limited with alot of the nice dishes not in stock.
Not a very welcoming environment. They didn't bother to let us know what's not available so you psych yourself up for something only to find out it's not available, so you choose something new only to find out you can also not order that. Eventually after asking the waitress what is available she took us through an A4 page FULL of things and basically 70% of the menu was not available. Very disappointing experience - at least let prospective clients know before they sit down, or how about training your staff to greetsomeone back friendly after they were shown courtesy, respect and friendliness - nothing dampens a mood as fast as a rude restaurant vibe. We were so excited for a vegan restaurant (of which there are so little) only to be greeted with much disappointment on so many levels. 8/10 would not recommend this place.
Did not eat. They claim to be out of stock on half their menu. Today being a public holiday and month end, I find that extremely difficult to swallow. Extremely dissatisfied first experience
Came to Johannesburg for the weekend and decided to give Lexis a second chance. Beside the food being inedible (of the limited stock they had they gave me a cappuccino with dairy instead of almond milk! I am so beyond angry! Bad service was the icing on the cake.
Maybe stop advertising yourself as a plant based restaurant.
Disappointed. The chocolate brownie was as hard as a rock and stale. We literally gagged on the first bite. The waffle was crumbling and had no taste at all. A terrible place to introduce people to vegan food. Please improve on your recipes or visit YouTube for good vegan recipes.
I used to love love love Lexi’s however I am finding that every Lexi’s I go to they never have stock of the meals I want. I’ve had to change my meal three times before. Not good!
Here's the scene, you walk into a nice looking healthy vegan restaurant. Excited and on a date, only to not be greeted by the tudest waiters I've had in a long time. Throughout the whole ordering journey the waitress was rude, disdain on her face that she has to wait tables on a Saturday morning. Probably hangover or angry that she has to wait on these privileged people.
Sticking through it you look through their menu, all kind of excellent dishes with mouthwatering ingredients. Perfect for the vegan couple. Only to be told what you want is out of stock after you took 10 minutes to decide. Ok. No big. We'll order something different, please give us 5 minutes. Out of stock. So what don't you have? I swear to you 5/6ths of that menu was crossed out.
Really nice restaurant. Lovely food, the Beyond Beef burger was beyond amazing. The best one we’ve had so far ️️. Had a little incident with the staff at the end, but it wasn’t anything that would make us stop going there.
I've been going to Lexi's for years now- pretty much since they opened.
I'm continuously impressed by the range of options, the quality of food and how great the staff are. I love that as a vegan I have a multitude of options to suit my mood (not just the standard 3) but I can take family members who don't share my lifestyle. They enjoy it just as much I do!
Decor and ambiance is great. So are the seasonal menus- you don't get bored if you're a regular.
I hosted a chilled 30th birthday lunch there and even though I miscounted the number of people coming, the staff were kind and professional, squeezing some extra chairs in. I feel at home here.
Oh and the carrot cake? Save space for the carrot cake!
Quite literally, the most delicious lattes I have ever had. The menu is diverse and it is all delicious. The atmosphere is welcoming and vibey. Burgers on point! I have just been to Europe and didn't find anything there that came close to providing the plant based quality and diversity that Lexi's does. A real gem
They cancelled my Uber Eat resulting in two hours wait for my food. When I made the new order, the pumpkin spice milkshake was removed from the menu. They should at least call to discuss if an item is not available and they can exchange it.
The food was 5 star but today service was a 1. Waiting to be served whisky not crazy busy took much longer than is acceptable. The burger I ordered came by less despite specifically asking for gluten free and just seeing any waiter was like trying to find Wally. When there was a waiter it was a far cry from the spontaneous ans high energy team I remember. I’m a massive lexi fan so hope the next visit it more promising. (This is an updated review)
