Louise and Anna reviews
34A cute little place tucked away in an unassuming centre. Very vibey, they offer board games and delicious cocktails. This resturant would've been five stars in it's hay day, but is looking a bit shabby at the moment (neon lights on the wall don't work, hanging plant baskets have no living plants). Food is good but I feel often the seafood is overcooked.
I ordered the chicken waffles and it was amazing. The salted caramel milkshake was too sweet and I did not taste the salt.
Came for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. They weren't busy but the service and food were excellent. Really enjoyed the music too (think Andy P). Lobster Mac n cheese was really good, fries were awesome and the Nashville chicken sandwich was great. Mocktails were delicious too! Definitely coming back
Enjoyed brunch at Louise and Anna. The food was great as was the service. I enjoyed playing UNO with my brother and winning!
The menu has such a good variety and the food did not disappoint. The food was great value for money and the drinks were great. The pie of the day was Blueberry pie and it did not disappoint.
Parking was very limited but there is ample parking on the side of the road and there are 2 car guards and security driving around in the area.
Good food and great atmosphere. We got to play some board games with our kids while waiting for our food. Friendly and helpful staff.
Great menu. Had the seafood bag and the brisket. It was tender and tasty. The seafood bag had a great Cajun taste.
We will be back for more
Definitely coming back. Loved the food and everything else! Got the Mac and cheese plus some lobster.
The food is okay, the menu a novelty and the drink options are limited. The setting is pretty and so long as you aren't sitting under a speaker, it isn't too loud. The service leaves a lot to be desired, not being able to tell us what we asked but she did bring a bag of polenta out the kitchen to show us. I won't be back.
The pumpkin pie is magical. Ain't you a peach drink is the most fantastic non-alcoholic drink I've ever tasted, its so good that I order it despite preferring alcohol based drinks. The food, the service, the drinks and the vibe is 10/10. Just make sure you call to check the opening times and if they have the pumpkin pie ready, they're not open every day and every item is made from scratch.totally worth waiting for. Parking is a bit dodge as its off the main road, Goodluck if you struggle to parallel park but other than that wow, food is amazing?
Had brunch so was a bit quiet. Chicken and waffles were good. Pumpkin pie and Cajun fried chicken and mash were great!
For when you need to find your 'happy place'. Food was great, and friendly staff
Great quality food with friendly service. We went for lunch, so the restaurant was quiet. I know it gets really busy some evenings, so I can't comment on service then. However, they've got board games to keep you entertained while you wait!
What an amazing place, friendly staff, amazing food. This place is really one of the best places to eat at.
Such a lovely restaurant with the most amazing staff, very friendly and attentive. Food was to die for as well as the cocktails! Defs recommend the shrimp and lobster Mac n cheese.
It has been a long time since I’ve been in New Orleans but this restaurant brought me back and I appreciate that so much! The seafood gumbo is incredible and I cannot wait to next try their jumbalayas and po-boys. The Beignets were what was the most exciting as I’ve had them at the famous cafe du monde in Louisiana and this restaurant comes close enough to satisfy. This restaurants batter is definitely a little too dense for perfection though. Otherwise a lovely restaurant with good vibes and excellent food. Five stars!
We heard suuuch good things about this place! We ordered cocktails and the blooming onion which was amazing! Unfortunately when my fried chicken and mash arrived the chicken was still raw. I sent it back and the chef simply deep fried the existing piece (which was cut open) the chicken therefore was scorched. Such a nice vibe, but disappointed that a place know for their chicken served it raw.
The food here lives rent free in my mind. It was so delicious! And place was clean and aesthetically pleasing. I highly recommend the peanut butter + choc milkshake and philly cheese stake sandwich.
One of the best dining experiences of my life! The food was insanely good and the service was wonderful. Highly recommend!
Delicious hearty food. Would recommend to anyone looking for flavourful and well prepared food and drinks. Staff is also wonderful
I must preface this in saying that I am deathly allergic to shellfish hence 4 stars instead of 5.
Must indulge in a milkshake which were absolutely delicious. The lobster, shrimp and crab goodies all looked delicious. Absolute value for money when compared to other Joburg restaurants on those items.
