Maders Slaghuis

Baie teleurgesteld dat julle mens dwing om maskers te dra. Ek verkies om local te ondersteun maar as 'n local deel is van die nuwe wereld orde ondersteun ek jul nie want jul. Masker dra is nie 'n wet nie. Dit is alles 'n klug, word wakker en hou op om die korrupte te ondersteun. Julle word totaal en al beheer deur die illuminati. Maders slaghuis sien my nie weer nie.

Ya, their pies WERE legendary. I bought 4 in January and there was more dough than meat. Plus, the pies made us sick. I'm writing this review only now because others are complaining about them as well now. Nee man, wat gaan aan? You ain't seeing me again.

Bly weg van dié plek af! Ons het onlangs pakke met bene vir die honde daar gekoop, toe ons dit by die huis oopmaak is daar brommers in een pak!
Vandag stop ek weer daar om rooi worsies te kry, my vrou gaan in maar toe onthou ek van eiers, ek loop bitter swaar met krukke maar toe ek by die deur kom is die vrou met haar spuitkannetjie by, en verhoed dat ek na die kassiere gaan net om eiers te kry, ek moet al die pad omloop by die slaghuis en bakkery net om eiers te kry, toe sê ek vir haar sy moet haar eiers druk!
Ek was 'n baie gereelde kliënt daar maar vandag was die laaste keer!

Terrible. Standing in queue for almost half an hour after we were promised 5 minutes. Many people left. Won't be seeing me again.

Meat prices are reasonable and meat of high quality. Their pies are well known and people come from all over Pretoria and even from further away to buy their sausage rolls, freshly baked throughout the day, unfortunately although still tasty the dough on the underside has been raw of late. Cash only business, but ATM's of major banks available on premises. Lovely koeksisters and rusks as well as biscuits also available.

Although the meat and pies are very good. Only paying by card lost them a sale today. The ATM onsite had an issue and I couldnt draw either. Sorry to say you lost a decent sale today. I am sure many others have had the same issue. Sad in these modern times a decent retailer chooses to loose business this way. I have been put off ever going back there.

Good quality meat but most of time a queue to get fresh pies and cheap price for pies.hurry up or get empty hands

Love the antiques that entertain you while you wait. Droewors and biltong best I ever tasted. And they are famous for their pies. Must go and experience this for yourself.

Their famous Maders pies the best in the city. For the rest of the prices of the butchery it tends to be a bit pricey.

Very friendly, great quality meat, and amazing sausagerolls. All packed into a museum-like setting filled with items from the past.

What a place to visit. A real place of history. A real boere and peaceful atmosphere. Like a farming ivironment in the centre of Pretoria. It is a place that must be visited especially if you have never been there yet. I have never seen such a great private collection of house and farming equipment from the past and much much more. The bakery bakes the best pies, biscuits and many more that I have ever tasted. The butchery sells the best meat that you can wish for at the best prices. And then you can also have a wonderful meal 'to die' for at the restaurant. ATM's available inside the restaurant and butchery. A butchery and restaurant that must be visited. Enjoy your visit.

Maders pies, especially the sausage rolls are the BEST EVER!
Such various collections of model cars, bikes, trucks, trains, busses, planes, helicopters, and SO much more! So many different antiques & collectables. Brings back special memories from when I was a child. People are always friendly!
It's also a full Butchery, come get fresh, clean good quality meat, sausages, biltong, droëwors.

Absolutely the best freshly baked sausage rolls you can get is at Marders Slaghuis. Friendliest owner and staff / best quality meat at the best prices. Love it, love it, love it! Drive all the way from Roodepoort as it's worth it.

I bought sausage rolls and I have not had better anywhere else. Such a jewel of a place and so much to see old and forgotten items. I will go back there for sure and can recommend it to anybody.
