McDonald's Sandton Gate

I have only been to this branch twice but have loved it both times. The workers are extremely friendly, when I couldn't carry my order to the car an employee offered to help. My drive through experience was pleasant and fast. The employee who gave us our order was also very friendly.

I enjoyed the food, chips weren't too salty or not salty enough and the milkshake wasn't too sweet it reminded me of the excellent food most branches have in Pretoria.

The building is clean and neat, very well built. I think this is my favorite McDonald's because of how it seems more sanitary than other branches.

I highly recommend this branch!

I have a problem with a lady by the name of Nthabiseng Juliet Mokwena, she was working at the drive through window this morning. This lady has attitude for days, she was giving us attitude as we placed our ordered because she mentioned that she would be taking the M number for points at the end of the order, after we ordered she told us to drive through, when we get to her window to give her the M Number which she refused to take, she tells us that she was supposed to take it at the end of our order and it was MY duty to give her the M Number. Then she was rolling her eyes at me the entire time.

Customer service is poor if you ordered online they dont help you they make you wait with the delivery guys and they don't even bother to help the delivery guys

I swear, 90% of the time this kitchen gets your order wrong. And when that isn't the case, they are slooooooow. I first chalked it up to teething problems when they first opened but nope just badly trained staff who seem not know how to follow order instructions.

Going through the drive thru is always pleasant. Went inside the other day, it was good. The staff we experience are always helpful and friendly. The food was fresh. We went in, as the drive thru line was a bit long, order tale away, we sat down and while waiting for our number to come up, the lady brought our food to our table. We ended up sitting down and eating. It was peaceful. Thank you

Weird but it was exactly as expected. The one thing McD gets right is consistency. I walked in and I could order with confidence that I will get what I ordered. Now this may sometimes be boring, but the predictability is also comforting.

It's a McDonald's - nothing that really stands out from all the others except that's it brand new:)

My order was ok, however while eating my meal not far from the counter I heard at least 2 customers received incorrect orders. One guy got home and had to come back because of wrong items. Based on other reviews it seems incorrect orders are common. Please customers take note of the apparent incompetence.

Very dissatisfied with the service received Macdonalds sandton gate. Received a burger that came in a box that looked like it was reused called the store and the manager on duty, Michael was not very helpful!

Excellent Food Preparation and great quality of their burgers. It's the best and you can be proud. I will always stop here for a meal. Keep it Up.

Nice McDonald's. Service was good and the food was prompt and the same as all other McDonald's.

I had a review where i posted how great this McDonald's was. The last two times i visited this branch the service has been terrible just to mention afew of the issues: No straws, no onions or pickles, forgot item from my order and the latest being the resturant being closed due to lack of staff.

Wrong food from what was ordered. Waited over 20 min. Not the first time - always the excuse of short staff. Do something about your service!

Massive queue on a Friday evening and people complaining waiting 30 minutes for their orders.

This has got to be the worst McDonald's ever! Only my second time here, and both times, orders have taken forever! First time, the staff was lovely, but they only had Large of everything. Where in Cyril's economy? !
Today, getting my order also took very long. No apology, no explanation. When I eventually asked why, I was told that there's one person in the kitchen, on a weekend. The lady taking the order was as miserable as the weather. Tjo, never again! Oh, and the pricing was wrong!

Always horrible, always getting the order wrong. Not even capable to meet a 3 milkshake order. Always waiting unnecessary. Slow, food comes out wrong (cheese burger without cheese, strawberry milkshake is vanilla) I don't know how many adults are eating at MacDonalds, but are kids are always disappointed at this store. They don't seem to get it right. Friendly staff, but that's all. Meanwhile the MacDonald in Rivonia. You must try that. A bit farther from us, but worth the drive. The Sandton one, a complete disappointment.

I placed my order on Uber eats at 11: 45 with an expected delivery time of 12: 10. At 12: 20 the delivery driver cancelled the trip as he waited so long. I called their store 6 times with no answer. I could only contact them by calling my Uber eats delivery driver and asking him to pass the phone to the manager to be told they sent my order ages ago but my driver was waiting to collect. I have waited almost an hour and 10 minutes for an order that was meant to take 20 minutes. This is shocking service and I have still not received my food which is a joke for a brand new mc Donald’s. I want a full refund for a meal that has not been received and when it does arrive - probably in another hours time it will be cold. Absolutely shocking. I will never order from here again- a lot work needs to be done here.

Possibly one of the worst McDonalds in this side of town. Ordered a Cajun chicken burger meal. Patty was rock hard and dry and burger came without a tomato slice - which meant the burger was extremely dry. No attention to detail by the staff to prep the food accurately for paying customers - really disappointed.

I frequent this McD's drive through by virtue of their location and proximity to my home. The service in following order instructions is as consistent as it comes. I decided to write this review today as it's not the first time they make this mistake. My son is allergic to tomato sauce amongst other foods. I particularly ordered him cheeseburgers with No Ketchup, No mustard, No onion, No pickles. Whilst the receipt stipulated that I get home and the burger has everything I requested they don't add. I can't reach this store as the phone number on their receipt is 12346789. The number on Google doesn't go through. Do better!

Used the drive-through a few times. What a disaster! Slow service, don't have Orios, can't get the order right and food very poor.

Also, once you are in the drive-through section and they do not have stock, you cannot get out. You have to wait for the slow queue! (Also, a serious high jacking risk!)

Obviously a very serious management problem. You won't see us again.
