Mediclinic Medforum reviews
51I am currently in this hospital since Saturday night after a serious head/ jaw injury and I have been sitting here unattended since then. The hospital stuff initially lied and said they’re waiting on Discovery to approve my authorisation however when I called Discovery myself, I found yesterday that there had been no attempt to get authorisation by Medforum. Today is Wednesday and I have received no medical attention regarding my surgery, and have NOT been seen by their doctor. The past 3 days have been a raging nightmare. I am in serious pain and nobody here seems to be concerned. Yesterday I was told that the doctor was coming to see me around 10am, he never pitched. This was even after he was advised that the authorisation was approved and he can go ahead with the surgery. What kind of hospital is this? How can this happen in reality? 5 days later and I have not been seen by a doctor and everyone here is uninformed. If you’re reading this, DO NOT COME TO THIS HOSPITAL, it’s a daytime circus.
I had the worst experience and regretted at Mediclinic on the 25th of November 2023. My sister was in a criticall condition it was the closest place we could reach and the staff were not willing to help there is one rude lady at the reception that shouted at me and gave us bad treatment. I understand it is a private hospital and money comes first but the treatment and how they put it across is uncalled for and for the record we paid all that was due. I don't encourage anyone to visit this hospital you will die!
Been here since 18: 00 now it's 21: 00 I'm at casualty nothing is happening I even Baragwanath hospitalthey don't make you wait this long, this is kak
Had my worst experience in my life at this hospital of HELL. I was in ICU, staff slept all night, did not bother to check your alarms that went of all the time. A veterinary would have been preferable. You can upgrade your building and facilities to look good yet the staff and service was horrendously pathetic and uncaring.
In the pediatric ward, parents are supposed to stay with their babies but there's no sleeping arrangements for them? Does that make sense, is it right to make a parent sleep on a chair for days?
My son was admitted at peads, when we arrived in the admission room I could tell that the room was not cleaned properly after the last discharge….
Got the best treatment from all the employees from reception, nurses, cleaners, security. Everyone there makes you feel at home. Great thanks to the maternity sisters particularly Sister Pogiso, Sister Raesi, Sister Phoso and Sister Shelley for the best service God bless you immensely
My baby was admitted to PICU after falling sick. DR Ismail was amazing and took time to explain everything to me. The nurses were amazing and extremely friendly as well. They treated me more like fanily than just another patient and took time to reassure me of the care they would provide for my baby. They even took time to consider my grievances as well. I would definetly recommend this hospital to friends and family.
My 6weeks child was admitted at ICU and she was injected with expired medication and the Dr and hospital manager said I must not worry the medication won't have any side effects on my baby, what a bad service I have received, I will never ever use this medforum hospital
Service at the hospital is terrible. I have been a patient of the hospital for 8years and time to move to another. It takes so long to be admitted as receptionists stand around and laugh. And I am waiting for 2 days to be taken to surgery and fasting on both. Very disappointing.
The visit to this hospital (21/02/2023) really left a sour taste in my mouth, i can not believe that i was given a wrong a wrong prescription which i couldn't find in Pharmacies, then when i called them back that regarding that, they just changed the prescription without any explanation as to why the initial prescription is different to the one sent on my email
Beautiful hospital with very friendly staff that go out of their way to ensure your needs are met. Food is rather good and is served in good portions. Doctors know what they're doing and I had a very quick recovery. Couldn't have asked for a better hospital to be brought to
I had an amazing experience with the Nurses that were assigned to me after delivery. I had a C-Section on the 3rd of October and the Senior Professional Nurse Matsoso she made sure that I had a great time she was assisting me from Monday till Friday on my discharged day. I really enjoyed my stay.big up to Nurse Matsoso and Medforum service
Very professional hospital, only draw back is parking is difficult to get. Very good health services; specialists in one premises
Hospital undergoing huge face-lifts and upgrades. Completed works looks awesome. Reception areas very welcoming and as clean as a new pin.
My daughter is currently admitted in paeds we getting the worst treatment ever, the nurses are not friendly we received the worst welcome ever, not to mention the medical treatment worse than public hospital her condition it's getting out of hand in their watch, the nurses are loud not a healing facility at all.
Thank you so much to the most amazing PICU team that practically saved my daughter’s life. Thank you for:
* Loving my daughter and taking care of her during her longest stay?
* Explaining the tubes, wires, beeps and the machines, countless times even though you could see clearly that we had zero medical knowledge.
* You went out of your way to get her the help she needed at all times
* Working tirelessly to get her to be comfortable and stable.
* Gave us kindness and warmth when all we could feel was pain.
* Reassured me several times and brought me tissue when I no longer could hold back the tears.
* The positive stories. Small talk. Compassion. Everything!
My most precious baby now has a life and future because of you. Know that we will never think of our child’s life without thinking of you? ?
Service at casualty reception was excellent casualty was good but that's where it ended was supposed to be moved to ward M waited for 2hr I asled casualty what was the hold up was told awaiting ward M to send someone to wheel my daughter to her ward after waiting for awhile went to ward M they were adamant that no one informed them that there a patient waiting in casualty.as of writing this review.still waiting at casualty
Time now 21: 22
The Pharmacy staff, specifically Linel and Roseline, they have been nothing but the best for me. Thank you my beatiful ladies
Not the worst hospital, but I would not recommend it. There is a lot of unproffessionalism from the staff point of view. There is that almost like, goverment culture. Lack of attention to detail you would not expect from a private hospital, mind you services are expensive at a private hospital. If you do not speak Tshwana.you feel out of place. Parking is an issue as well. Even thou there is a few good folks there majority is just not good.
