Mediclinic Muelmed

Maternity ward- 4/5- i was admitted end of November and my stay was pleasant, a few hiccups here and there but nothing too serious. Most of The nurses were friendly tried their best to ensure you are comfortable.

NICU- 5/5- my preemie baby was in NICU for over 2 weeks, the nurses were kind, compassionate and very thorough. Sister Julia, who was with my child most of the time, was an angel in disguise. I haven't met nurses so passionate about their job like ALL the nurses in this ward.

Paediatric ward- 1/5- my baby was admitted here for Jaundice a few weeks after being discharged from NICU and I will NEVER return to the hospital because of my unpleasant and terrible experience at this ward. The nurses don't care about you or the baby, they let the bell ring for a long time before responding even if its at 1 in the morning, when you make requests they go out of their way to ensure its NOT FULFILLED, they have an attitude and show no compassion for the patients or their parents. I would not recommend anyone to visit the paediatric ward at this hospital.

We’ve been waiting in the emergency waiting area for over 3 hours with no updates on what’s going on with my grandma who was the patient

I went to the hospital on the 13/10/2023 at about 16: 30 they only opened my file around 18: 30 and the sad part is that it was not even full and if there were any issues nobody came to explain.if you ask me the service is horrible

That hospital is terrible I lost my pragnancy due to their neglec the mem babrains where out and I came with the Abulance bur no doctor attend me on time

Am even thing of suing the hospital their doctors are unprofessional and rude

Always clean & neat, their service from the gate until to the wards is perfect. Staff is friendly & greets everyone passing including security and they are all helpful.

Terrible, the nurses think they are doing you a favour. Extremely rude and ill mannered. They dont know the meaning of treating patients well.

The nursing staff are great. The Drs are pathetic in the Spinal rehabilitation Section. The rehabilitation gym run/owned by Rita Henn is dirty and doesn't comply with several laws. I picked up a severe viral infection due to the lack of hygiene standards (which are non existent. The physical therapists are also not trained in spinal rehabilitation and treatany disease

My daughter was admitted at this place and there is restaurant and pharmacy right there. So amazing place

The staff should all get a rise. The care they give to pasients are better then out of the book. If there is questions thw answer it with knowledge and the problem solving is applaudable.thank you for your service. Every docter, sister everybody employed at Meulmed Hospital.

We’ve got bad service. You can’t even sit on a chair or on the floor next to a sick 92 year old lady. Only one person next to her bed. Took 4hours plus for admission. The staff told you to sit in the rest rooms if you want to sit. We are lucky they couldn’t help her at Meulmed and the ambulance took her to Heart Hospital with 5star service.

Horrible experience at the trauma unit.extremely poor.imagine waiting for over 5 hours to be assisted and u in severe pains yerr will never go back to this hospital ever.would never even recommend it to anyone

I was admitted at Surgical ward for 2 days. Warm reception, the place is very clean, food was very good and I loved the meal booking system.

I would like to commend the staff who were on night shift at Muelmed for the Excellent service I received on Friday the 21st October 2022 From the Security who saw me in pain from afar and held the door open for me at the Emergency Room, To the white lady at reception amazing to the nurse who took my BP, They all introduced themselves to me but unfortunately I forgot all their names because I was in so much pain, A big shout out to Dr Thendo Ndou for the utmost care, I only have one thing to complain about though, I hope someone from reviews sees this and calls me to discuss further. But all in all thank you Muelmed

On a daily basis my partner and are having to learn of things done for other mothers but we seem to be the couple that has fallen through the cracks. We go back and forth from 2 home affairs' and the hospital for a birth certificate, while apparently other mothers who just gave birth were sorted after they gave birth. On a daily we get information in drips and draps because our new born is in the neonatal care unit

I went to the emergency department for help
As I was struggling to breath the only thing they. Gave me was a pill
Then took blood tests
I don’t even know the results as well as the pregnancy results.they told me to go home around 23: 30 I will be fine, yet I am still struggling to breath and to walk
I left and went to GROENkloof hospital the best service ever

I fully understand that not everyone has the same experience, and some days are stones and some days are diamonds; however, we have thus far, really only had good, friendly, and polite service. In general I like the ambience and the place feels clean; the toilets are also clean and neat. PS. We have been to NUMEROUS hospitals, thus I believe I can give a fair review.

LATE UPDATE. Sorry, but after what was a great Admission, the rest of the Ward Service was pathetic, to say the least: - (

Okay, my wife spent again 4 nights at Meul Med. I update my rate as per this last visit. Staff friendly and caring, only the food can really improve.

I have been here since 9am, for admission in the medical ward. When my doctor called to confirm availability of the bed it was at 10. And the response, I heard the conversation; was that they are cleaning and the beds will be available soon. 3hrs20min later we get tonthe ward and are told that the beds are not ready, though we have been allocated beds already. This is my 3rd admission here, and every time since the 1st admission the service in the ward keeps deteriorating. If I didn't need this neurological intervention I would have long left for home.
This is very unprofessional and insensitive to us as patients.
