Medicross Medical Centre reviews
17May the good Lord grant Dr A Chau a long life. An amazing Doctor. I would recommend him to any dental patient at any given time. A very patient Doctor, professional and excellent at his work.
An extremely disappointing experience yesterday. The consulting Dr was ok, but then to have to go to the nurses afterward was such an unnecessary, lengthy procedure. Made an appointment for 10: 15, got seen to after 20 minutes which was not too unbearable, but then after a quick check at the Dr's room, I had to go to the nurses for sugar/cholesterol checks and thereafter a jab. Extremely delayed and the nurses do not show any care despite them seeing you sitting on the bed, waiting for over an hour for a jab. I had to go ask how long more will it take as I was feeling miserable. The nurse that did the jab, administered it in such an unprofessional manner (unfortunately cannot remember her name). It hurt so bad and felt like she just stabbed the needle in whilst I was standing, there were so signs of care. I wiggled a bit and she just kept saying be still. She applied no cottonwool or bandaid over the area and the blood seeped through my clothes.
Would be great if they could attend to all the reviews about their bad service, but it seems to fall on deaf ears.
Went to the nursing station to have blood tests taken and I asked the nurse what the pricing would be she looked on the wall where the pricing was and advised that the tests would not be more than R700. To my horror I am now sitting with a R4000 bill. The nurse (Chantal) has been lying to her superiors that she never gave me pricing. Being going there over 10 years but due to Chantal being dishonest, and portraying misconduct as a nurse, I will never ever step foot in there again.
A friend referred me to Dr Sithole. My overall experience was great and all the people I dealt with were very professional.
Honestly the worst experience. They force you to make an appointment online and pick as specific time. Then you get there 20min before your appointment and wait a extra hour anyway. My make an appointment in the first place. Will definitely not be going back there.
Took mom their to get all her teeth pulled to get a full set of dentures. She is smiling again. And did a very very awsome job she is happy
Drove there at 6am and the staff on duty were extremely helpful. In an emergency you feel flustered and afraid but I was treated with dignity and respect. I'd like to thank the doctors and staff for their patience with me
Phone and ask for earliest appointment. Get told, in 30 min, so I book it and get there 15 min later. Reception staff talking and laughing amounts themselves so get served with 5 min till appointment, then proceed to wait over 30 min more?
What is the point of making an appointment with is said to be at time of making 30 min later, then run late from that moment? Surely you know you running late when making the booking?
If you have all the patience in the world come to Edenvale Medicross. Just to be served at the counter takes 10min alone.
If you looking to be attended at the time of your appointment prepare to be disappointed.
Arrived early for an appointment and had not been attended to an hour and a half later patients with later appointments got in before I did.
Absolutely useless. Doctor tells you that you can phone for script and when you do so you are told no that you have to make appointment and see doctor first.
Require an upfront cash payment for weekend consultations during pandemic, even for existing medical-aid clients.
Unethical behaviour left me with a sour taste in my mouth. Receptionist refused service and chased us away when we advise we are Covid symptomatic and not vaccinated.
I had to ask for a manager before we got offered a telephonic consultation. Clearly not a centre that keeps health and care as a priority.
Dentists are amazing, doctors room and staff downstairs leave a lot to be desired.
All staff running late, impossible to hear when you're called, ive had three people walk up to explain they've been waiting for an hour.this is a joke.
Long wait, distracted and inefficient reception station, doctors never solve the issue on first visit, been 3 times per doctor, pharmacy closed before we could fill the prescription. Leaves A LOT to be desired.
Worst service from outside to inside. Patients being allowed inside the clinic without going through the screening process. Inside indifference being showed towards patients. Have one person attending to patients at reception. One person at the cashiers, not practicing proper hygiene, touching her face, scratchi ng her head, then without disinfecting her hands, handing documents to patients. Having patients who are ill stand and wait while staff have conversations and being very relax.
Clearly they have no urgency when it cones to attending to the health of patients. They should not be working at a medical treatment centre.
My daughter made an appointment to see Dr D Ellebeck for 08h30 today, 20/02/2020. When she arrived, she was told that Medicross do not accept the Discovery Smart Series plans. She was sent away. Upon investigation she could have been seen but on a cash basis, and claim back from medical aid. She was then told to return and sit and wait to be seen. NOW, again she has been sent away as the dentist is too busy today to see her, next available appointment is next week Monday. I find this totally unacceptable for a Discovery client and from the Medicross. Up until now, I have always gone to Medicross as the staff and practitioners have been good, Now I am wondering if there has been a decline in service and if I should be looking elsewhere!
