Mike's Kitchen Parktown / Mikes Heritage House reviews
52Great food, had the chicken Shack burger, it was really tasty. Really good sized burger, the onion rings and chips were really great as well.
Great service, food and environment is very soothing as we had a very friendly breakfast meeting
The food was really great. It's value for money because the portion sizes are big. I suggest when you really crave a burger try the jaw breaker. Our waitress also gave great service. The place is cozy.
Food and Service were great. Thumbs up to the entire team. I didn't know who was serving me but I really loved the great teamwork amongst the patrons and the management. Very good service. Surely will come back again
There are slow to respond to delivery drivers I always see them there waiting for a while, they have to change
Food was absolutely incredible, so was the general ambiance and style of the restaurant. Despite the waitress being on the wrong side courteous, the overall experience was delightful.
I don't know why they closed so many franchises. I am glad that they still have this one open. I have always loved their food. This branch has always been a go to for meetings and brunch. Friendly staff and beautiful place in the CBD. Safe because of controlled access. Friendly and helpful staff.
Great stop off for a coffee or meal.
Well worth more than one visit.
Amazing place - Food, service and busy at lunch time.
Nice to see that the old Mike's Kitchen is still a name linked to a great time.
A definite must see if you're in Parktown. The building is beautiful. The food is good, the drinks are fairly priced.
Beautiful outdoor area!
But let’s talk about what to order and what not to…first the rice.even when I said to the waitress can I have rice as a side, she said “why not half rice, half chips, cos you might not like the rice”… she was right! She even said get malawi shandy instead of rock shandy (it was as if she knew my taste) … all I’m saying is no to the rice and yes to everything else.
I really loved the hospitality and just how everyone got equal attention no matter how packed the place was. Bravo to the team!
A historical gem! Had a wonderfully tasty brunch in the gardens on Sunday. Fresh orange juice, perfectly poached eggs on a bed of rocket and smashed croquettes. Yummmm.
Oh the food is amazing.the ambiance is even better. My goodness the service, the service, the service.hubby and I went with our 1 year old rascal and my was he all over the place throwing things around and all the waiter and manager did was accommodate us and the waiter gladly kept checking up on our baby to make sure he doesn't wonder around. Best service I must say, wish I had taken his name down he deserves the notice. And my goodness my Saturday and Sunday morning breakfast at their garden is thee best I tell you.no one serves breakfast better I tell you.
The food! Amazing! From starters to the main and dessert. It really shows that their team is exceptional, the ingredients are of the best quality and the prices are worth it!
Loved the outdoor seating. Our team ate lunch and really had an awesome time. Food is great quality and the service is just as great. If u looking for a venue for team lunches then this is a definite place too visit.
Get there early as parking lot gets full. You might need to park outside.car guard is there to check on cars
Came often as a child, still the same. If you are interested in history and architecture, then this is a must. The house is beautifully renovated and maintained.
Quick and friendly service. Not once did we have to look for service. Our waitress was attentive, friendly and pre-empted our needs. Though some may feel that toward the end of the meal that you are being rushed along to clear the table. Manager seemed friendly, and served customers. Whilst he checked in on other tables, he did not once checked in on us (or certain other tables), but rather would glance in our direction, meanwhile checking in elsewhere 2 or 3 times. Interpret that how you want.
Food was delicious and generous portions. Liked the crispy fries, though it would be too hard for most children.
Friendly staff & open variety of meals not served at other MKs, i.e, they have a better option for sea food & salmon
So apparently during weekends one has to book the outdoor tables because they do get full real quick…trust me, the outdoor area is pretty wholesome…. The indoor area is however still pretty dope as well, with some refreshing atmosphere and nice paintings - there is obviously a bonus of the aroma from the kitchen……
The food…. Yeah tastes well…got me a Tbone which wasn’t so bad. Not the best l’ve had thus far but yeah…. The milkshakes and chips here are top tier? …. Also the customer service is up there, a very friendly catering team
If you go with roughly R350, you will get a reasonably good heavy meal…. R200 for a light meal…nothing less lol
This landmark continues to deliver excellent food and service. I went there after a long time but I did notice that their portion sizes are definitely smaller than before
Beautiful cocktails, amazing quality meat, always neat and clean, pretty garden setup and really good staff.
Never disappointed with Mikes Kitchen
