Cafe Munch Parktown reviews
17Such an awesome restaurant hidden in Rosebank. Great value for money and my breakfast was beyond great. Well done to the serving staff. Ps check out the wonderful pop up store next door for December '23 Xmas shopping. Something for everyone
What a nice place to meet up with a group for a catch up. Awesome staff. Neat and clean. Enjoyed it.
Lovely friendly service, great food and the playground kept my toddler entertained the whole time. The Face painting was also a fun surprise. Will def come back.
Day 2: The diesel smoke from the generator is starting to causing sickness of all who stay at my property. The noise is unbearable. I can only imagine for those seated at the restaurant. Working from home continues to be a dreadful experience for me and my family, windows can’t be open during their load-shedding schedule. We live opposite the building and I have no idea why they choose to put their generator RIGHT against our wall so we can hear the rattling and consume all the diesel smoke from it for more than 4 hours a day. They have a massive property but choose to NOT to be considerate to the surrounding neighbours. I’m not suggesting to stop using it but to simply relocate it to the car park or close to the street. Better planning and communication is needed to solve this situation instead of avoiding and making dumb excuses when approached. Behaviour like this closes businesses and doesn’t invite support from the community!
We used to love coming to Munch, but the last two times we have had to wait for our food for more than an hour. The dishes isn't what it used to be. The burger (very delicious patty) was not served on a ciabatta roll as stated in the menu, but on a regular bun and the chicken mayo was made with regular Albany white bread. Not on.
Other customers also became agitated with the wait.
It is a pity, because coming to Munch is supposed to be a treat. And the waiters are still really great and friendly.
We were informed about a staff shortage at the end of our meal, but customers should be warned on arrival that there is a delay and not be made to wait without explanation. Especially not if you need to get back to work.
A manager on duty would help.
Very unimpressive. Didn’t have half the food items. No fish. No burgers. Apparently supplier issue but on 4th request they accepted toasted saamies are the only safe option.
Food was tasty, cost effective and eatery is suitably placed in the nursery.
Had Mediterranean salad -
Forgot to take photos.
Hidden behind the nursery it's a regular oasis with a most amazing ambience. Food was delicious.
Breakfast was ridiculous oily, the bacon tasted like plastic and the sausages were the size of pinky fingers. The French toast wasn't enough to fill up a toddler. Hugely overpriced.
After a 10k morning walk from Parkmore the happy clean venue was just what we needed, hot delicious, very tasty brkfst (caprese omelette, fancy toasted sarmie) outside under the pecan tree, then a nice stroll thru the garden centre for couple of plants.
It's a garden like setting,
Was fabulous, the fresh air and having lunch under the trees.
Food and service was good!
We will return!
If you have vegan folks you're inviting, skip this restaurant. +R16 for almond milk cappuccino. Not a single vegan meal on menu.
Superb and efficient service, with great tasting cakes and quality coffee. Just not very happy about the R8 charge for a tall glass when asking for tap water, especially when everyone at the table had drinks and cake. Next time I'm taking the glass home ;)
Great spot for breakfast or lunch or even just a beer. Especially when your partner is at the garden nursery for hours and insists you go with. There is also a great kids playarea and it's pet friendly.
A good place to just chill and relax. A lot of good memories.
Very friendly staff and good garden vibes, I will revisit the place soon.
Food outstanding.flatbread with fillet, rocket & caramelized onion.brilliant. Choc & cheesecake tart.yum, Alvi Rose overpriced by R50 pity.
In the corner of a nursery, so very nice corner. Green and cosy.
Not many tables and it might be busy but when not busy very nice place to relax.
Very nice playground for kids. Nice sand under the toys.
Just out of playground stairs are a little tricky for kids.
Coffee was nice.
