Neck & Deck Restaurant

Lovely views from the restaurant. Wonderful to be able to interact with a giraffe and see zebra, buck, an ostrich and long horn mountain goats. Our waitress was wonderful, we received great service. The food did take a little while to come out. The playground for kids kids was awesome. Loved the restaurant interior - so comfy, warm, spacious and inviting.

The waiter was very rude, the food took forever, the food also wasn't served as it was advertised in the menu and to top it off while we were eating the waiter came and removed the salt, pepper and tomato sauce for another table without even asking. Go to the Zoo if you want to see a giraffe!

The service was absurd! We waited 2 hours for food and we ended up leaving without eating, the place wasn’t even that full. Before we left we asked the waiter if they prepared the food, his words were ‘ the chef failed ‘ very unhappy with the service we received!

Food was good. Beautiful setting. Terrible service. Took 90min for the last plate of food to arrive.

It is disappointing to see how the restaurant and facilities here have become incredibly run down in the space of a year. Half the menu for food and drinks was not available because the “food delivery truck didn’t arrive” and the food that was available was terrible. Poor quality food and poor service unfortunately.

I saw N&D on TikTok and it had positive reviews. The ambiance is great, the service was good even though it was quite busy. If you sit in the upper deck the sun can be quite harsh and the umbrellas are difficult to move. In overall it’s great value.

Food was TERRIBLE and there were so many things missing from the menu (ingredients) It’s a beautiful restaurant. Absolutely stunning! But the food is nothing like the pictures. So eat before you come.

This restaurant came up on my Instagram feed. Thought it would be a fun place to try as you can feed the giraffe as well.
They had next to no food. The only drinks available was coke or alcohol. There was no pasta burger buns, i ended up having cheesy fries. As we drove quite a distance to just leave. I have never experienced anything like that before. However the kids play area was really nice and waiters service was really good, we felt bad for how uncomfortable and embarrassed he looked telling us how Evrything is out of stock. Will not be returning.

No stock of ice cream for milkshakes, no ice tea, appetizer, grapevines or lemonade (yet there was Sprite). Ordered a Rocky Shandy and was told there was no lemonade, so asked for them to use sprite instead. It took 20 minutes for my drink to be brought to the table - everyone else had theirs. No stock of pizza bases. The sirloin steak was tough and full of fat. There were no serviettes on the table and we had to ask a number of times for some and for some sauces. The service was absolutely shocking. We will not be back.

Amazing set up & atmosphere, excellent service and good food; as for the neck the giraffe has a very long 1 at the top Deck. Pleasant open grounds, you think you're out in a safari, great location, for kids as well Now it is time to revise and update your menu and rates shown on your web page to avoid further discrepancies when the bill arrives and your rump steak is below the average offered elsewhere thank you

The food is tasty enough, and the place has been redesigned and redecorated, but some of the animals are kept in abysmal condition. The animals are kept as a novelty with seemingly little care for their welfare. One sheep had hooves so over grown it couldn't walk naturally (pictures attached).
This is not a place for animal lovers or compassionate people.

Service was poor and food below average, expected a lot better. Waiter had a bad attitude and we hardly saw him. We had to ask for menu's, food and the bill. Wouldn't go there again after this bad experience.

Has such potential, but the service was absolutely terrible. Very cool being able to feed giraffes from the deck, however the amount of rubbish (paper and plastic) from the restaurant in the animal enclosure was worrying. Didn't eat, but the food going passed looked good.

My family enjoyed the Christmas Lunch, the service was amazing, the food was average, but the best was having to feed Sky the Giraffe? Wonderful experience.pool area was also great

Good place to enjoy some food and drink in the wild. Kid friendly. Quiet and not crowded during the week.

We had pizza which was definitely delicious, however there was some mix ups with our orders but nothing worth complaining about as Anna was a superstar

Great spot out of the city for a day out.
Giraffe feed is only R50 and really gets the giraffe's attention so you can spend time feeding it and taking pics. I refer to one because the other one doesn't seem to like people and kept it's distance from the restaurant the entire time.

The food is tasty and service is also great.
Family friendly. Definitely recommend a visit.
The restaurant interior is actually quite nice too. There's also other business in the same location so the day can really be spent here.

After waiting for an hour and twenty minutes, we were told that they forgot to even place our order. This was after multiple times asking our waitress where our food is and being told it'll be here shortly. Hands down the worst dining experience we've had.

Had a really great time, I can't even explain it. Everything from tour to the food, it was top notch

Popped in for a quick brunch and was not disappointed. Kelly was very friendly and served us promptly with a welcoming smile. The food was tasty (I had the chicken mayo tramezzini) although it did take a very long time to come out. Our 'quick' brunch was not so quick after all.
It was very pleasant to sit outside and watch the wildlife and I definitely recommend a visit to anyone seeking a nice atmosphere to eat and chill.

The strawberry daquiri was also delish and very welcome in the heat.
