The veggies were raw. The chakalaka was super hot the only you could taste was the chillies, the peppers were chewy. Oh no. Really ruined date night.

The breakfast was very poor. My spinach and feta was swiss chard and melted feta. Scrambled eggs were rubbery to too dry. Very disappointing.

Just the bare minimum of social distancing, but sanitiser on each table. The food is unimaginative, also just the bare minimum of what is acceptable. Much too expensive for what you are getting. But worst of all is the disgusting, sticky and oily condiment containers. They have clearly not been cleaned, much less sanitised, after the last diners. How could you allow this in these times? Not that it should have been allowed ever.

Excellent restaurant and club experience. Very fast service. IMO this is the best restaurant/ bar in Randburg.

Even though it was a bit empty because Covid, the place was so clean and well kept and the staff were so friendly and happy. It truly made the lunch feel so much more comfortable that everyone was so nice to us. The food was quick and the drinks were quicker, exactly how it should be. Obviously the drinks were delicious!

The service is always great and they're pretty strict with the social distancing so I was comfortable. Seven Deadly Sins is the only drink that matters on the menu

Very quite during the week, food specials are great but services lacks what you would expect from a News Cafe, perhaps a band on weekends is not such a bad idea?

News Cafe is always a vibe. Great music, full of people and the staff is always ready to get you a drink. I just don't understand why there's so many tables and close to no room to dance at all.

Always an amazing vibe on the weekends, you can always go to a news cafe for a drink and end up having the most fun. During the day it's a very relaxed environment where one can enjoy the cocktails they create.

It is one of those overlooked spaces but boy oh boy did i not have a fantastic lunch meeting there. The food was so much better than i had expected. This is one of the better kitchens that i have encountered from the franchise. I think the only let down is the staff. They are a little hard to pin down but my waitress today was better than the other times i had been there. Also today i ventured past the drink menu and i dont regret that

Standard News Cafe, however parking can be an issue. Ensure you arrive early if you want parking on location

The drinks were great, but that was about it. Our server gave us sticky menus, and then forgot about us. I had to order from the bar - and the drinks took long to make. I would've understood if it was packed, but there 2 occupied tables besides us. It has definitely been better.
