Absolutely horrible service, if you are black then you won't get any service just policing as if you are a criminal. I will definitely will never spend my money here again. Pity because because my kids love the bunny hop rabbit park at observatory.

A simple Portuguese restaurant. The food is authentic and very tasty. They also offer Portuguese desserts.

My burger patty was stale and no care in the world from the manager. Insteat he sent a new fresh one for me to see that they do them fresh. I wont come back ever.

This was only second visit to this restaurant as a patron. The owner, a delightful Portugese man by the name of Jorge who's always smiling.

The waitrons that have served me as well as the other ones were all full of smiles, our waitress was very attentive but not to the extent of disturbing. There's 2 types of waiters I dislike the most, first is the one we need to keep looking for all the time and the other is the waiter who's continually asking "is everything fine? " every time you take a bite.

You have the option of sitting comfortably indoors or equally comfortably in the open air under the shade of the trees.

They have a good selection on their menu as well as their daily specials. I'd ordered their Espetada (Kebab) which is rump cubes grilled on a skewer. This was well priced and a decent portion. It was absolutely delicious, this was served with a bit of salad, a handful of fried chips as well as cubes of fried maize.

They have an animal yard (zoo) on the property & plenty of space for kids to occupy themselves.

I will definitely visit them again.

Peaceful spot, especially on a weekday afternoon / early evening. Good Calamari and steak. Don't even think about asking for salad as a side dish, though. This is strictly a chips kind of joint!

Good service, enjoyed sitting in the outside area where I could watch my child play on the gym. Children can also go to the bunny hop area as long as there is an older responsible child with them

So glad they survived lockdown. Not much ambiance. But homely service and traditional dishes made dishes make it a gem.

Real nice food lovely place to be outside and enjoy nature very safe especially with covid times.

Beautiful setting with great service. The food was AMAZING. We struggle to put into words how good it tasted. Breakfast and drinks for 3 od us was under R200. Thank you!

Had a lovely afternoon out with my knitting group. We sat outside ont he patio and could easily see the play area. Service was fine, and the food was great. We will definitely be back.

I have been there twice with family and must admit that the food is tasty home made traditional Portuguese food. Saturday evenings service was good, yet Sundays waiter kept on forgetting about us and was always taking his time. However the family had a pleasant time. Oh the dessert menu is very restricted which is sad as the Portuguese cuisine has so many easy tasty recipes one can try. Anyhow its good food at a good price

Traditional Portugese cuisine. It was Cheap and the food and service good. They have 3 specials of the day and the normal menu to choose from. Will be back here soon. I would reccomend this place to anyone.

O chef is a very clean chilled Portuguese restaurant - some amazing food.located in the same premises as the Sylvia's Market and yes you guessed it on Sylvia's pass! Try the Chicken - Its that good!
