Ocean Basket Stoneridge

Yesterday I came through with fiance everything went well, the food was great.we had an amazing service from our waiter Bruce, He was friendly with us all the way. Thank you

Food is generally great at ocean basket but. Service is kinda bad and unfriendly and we received our dessert cold only one of us recieved it warm but maybe it was a bad day I'd still go back

Poor service delivery, the stuff don't help the customers or drivers willingly, that should be fixed so that we can feel welcomed

Used to like going to ocean basket. Becoming expensive. Had a trainee as a waiter. She was struggling a bit.

Our Waiter Trymore was an awesome host. Our meal was delicious, they made Father's Day super awesome!

Food was great except for the French fries which were extra dry and chewy and tasted refried. Atmosphere is a little lacklustre.they use the restaurant floor space for storing supplies near the kitchen and it looks bad to be honest. Ventilation not up to standard, very smokey inside even with the doors open.

We waited 15 minutes for a bottle of water & the waiter never came back to get our oder & there were only 4 tables in the restaurant. We got up & left & went for dinner at another restaurant.

I am most disappointed with the service and quality of food at this particular branch. Initially, I attempted to place an order via their website ordering system, however, the branch was not available. Following this, I contacted them by phone to place an order for collection. Regrettably, their phone lines were sub-standard, leaving me unable to hear clearly. I requested two wraps, but was disappointed with the attitude of the waiter when I arrived for collection.

Upon returning home, I discovered that the wraps contained chilli, although I had not requested it, making it unedible. I specifically requested lemon butter sauce, yet it was evident that once they remade a new meal, the sauce was made with margarine which is unacceptable. The chips were also stale and the rice was uncooked.

When contacted to rectify the situation, the branch only offered to make a new meal which was a tremendous inconvenience as it necessitated traveling back and forth. When I eventually returned, I encountered uninterested staff who made excuses for the poor quality of food. Only when I threatened to request a refund did they change their manner.

They changed their menu and since then we have not been back.
They used to serve an amazing Salmon salad which is not on offer: - (
The sushi at this one was very very slow.
You try get the waiters attention but they stand around in groups ignoring you.
Fire the lot and start over cause your staff will kill your restaurant.

I always go there for their mussels and cocktails, they are amazing. However their waiters don't pay attention to detail. I don't understand this concept of all of them standing in a group by the door, chit chatting and not checking up on their customers. I found myself sitting with an empty glass waiting for a refill and my waitress was at the door chatting with her colleagues. Disappointing service!

Always a good pick for seafood. Had the salmon salad to start and prawns for the main. Consistent in quality and taste. Could do with some improvement of their wine list and having beers on tap including craft beers.

The staff is attentive and friendly. The food portions are sizeable enjoyed the platter for 1 and appreciated that they swapped out the mussels for a different item on the menu

Food was good, service good
BUT.my mother is disabled, when we asked where the bathroom was they saw that she walked with the aid of a walker.however nobody informed us that there were no toilets for disabled patrons.
The toilet door opened wide enough to let a skinny child slip in between the door & the toilet bowl!
When asked about this & why we were not informed when we asked to use the bathroom everyone just shook their shoulders! Won't be going back there

Typical Ocean Basket experience, clean, good service, menu items presented in typical fashion & the unmistakeable Ocean Basket taste.

A lovely dining experience. Very good service with fresh, good tasting fish. Plenty of parking including for disabled diners.

Disappointing visit to this restaurant.we had a platter for two where the hake fillets were tiny and all of the food was cold except the chips. This franchise really needs to do some training with their staff - the waiters are poor and don't know how to interact with customers at all. Won't be going back in a hurry

We have been to Ocean Baskets around South Africa, few times at Stoneridge and every time we get there the rolls serving as a snack is old and tangy, obviously coming from the fridge and not fresh baked every day. Tell me which day you bake fresh rolls and I'll return, love the food and beverages!

Great Great Great, Thabo our waiter was on the ball. We were waited on hand and foot, with nothing left to chance. The food was fresh tasty and on time.thank you

The Service was the best I ever had in a very long time.
Food was hot an did not have to wait.
I will be back. Awesome
