Looks can be deceiving, once you settle in and explore the place the rustic look grows on you.lots of things to do for kids while the adults can tuck into some amazing food, a large selection of German bear and the best eisbein this side of the mountain.

Service zero, food mediocre, management shocking. All bills incorrect. Fancy un charged iPads that didn’t work. Whole experience shocking. Toilets filthy no lights no vibe. No such thing as a non smoking section

Old dirty place.terrible service and rude owner (guy in grey bear, was told he is owner). Not interested in his place at all.tables were farnished and ended up messing up our clothes.owner didn't even bother to come and apologize.can see they haven't spend a sent to re invest in the restaurant.

After 9 years, going back all memories came back. Still one of the best places, and the food is as always Authentic and delicious.

Overrated. Food average and to the dry aged side. Not the freshest but it went in and we were satisfied.

Nice surprise on our way back from Cullinan. It was a bit difficult to get there but is was certainly worth the bumpy ride!

Didn't even know this place existed. Spent a WONDERFUL Sunday afternoon there - food was divine. Haven't had German food for ages. Will definitely be back. Good music too.

Amazing foods and fantastic atmosphere. Very talented live bands on weekends and intimate setting for weekday meals. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Would 10 out of 10 recommend

Utterly disappointed. Waited more than an hour for 2 eisbeins, waited for drinks (ordered 1 glass of wine and a coke), had to ask numerous times for the same stuff. Eventually had to leave as we ran out of time. Asked for food to be put in take away containers as we couldn't wait any longer, had to pay for take away containers.
Owners sitting at bar drinking, did nothing.

One of the best Eisbeins I ever had! The road a bit of a challenge but the food and admosphere makes up for it

Lots of reservationed tables, could not enjoy the live music. Great eisbein though. Shade netting will help to keep tree confetti at bay.

Very relaxed atmosphere. Feels like holiday! Delicious German cuisine. Enough parking space. Long stretch of gravel road to get there.

A place where you walk out, and you are part of a family when you leave there? Food are exellent, music on sundays. Very safe for the hole family.

Came for late lunch today. I order the 1.2 kg eisbein. Best eisbein I've ever had! Super crispy on the outside and delicious meat inside. Only managed to eat half of it. My partner had veggies which were fresh and tasty. Spinach was great. Friendly staff and service is excellent. Live music on Sunday. Would definately recommend this restaurant for good quality food.
