Pachas Restaurant

Took my wife for our anniversary during the week.
Literally the best food I have ever had. We had Cod and Lamb shank that wasn't on the menu. The pan fried potatoes alone deserve a 5 star review. We were served by Andrew which made sure our glases stayed full all night.
We really had a very enjoyable experience and would definitely go again. And probably again after that.

Lovely restaurant. Went in to setup for a friend's birthday dinner. The staff - so helpful. Kgomotso went far and beyond!

The service and the food was amazing. A big thank you to Wiena, he was super amazing and very patient with us. Loved loved the experience.

Overall the experience was great. Nice ambience. Food was good. Calamari Portuguesesa ans snails was really good. Waitress was friendly and nice. Only negative was the meals came very quick which felt a bit rushed. Didn't really get time to enjoy the main meal.

I cannot express how much I love this restaurant. I have been going to it for almost 2 decades and not once have I been disappointed with the food or the service. Leaps and bounds better than anywhere else!

A delightful experience. Food combinations that were out of this world. Wonderfully Romantic atmosphere. The perfect evening.

Disappointing. Prawns in sauce were off. Manager not helpful and had a bad attitude. So many better options available. Went about 18 months ago and was good. Will not go again.

First the good. We had a table salad and because of the dressing it was really tasty.

Now for the bad. We found the restaurant/manager really inflexible and he came across as arrogant which made the whole experience unpleasant.

In the first example I am allergic to gluten so am not allowed wheat. So I asked if any of the sauces were gluten free but the ones that were weren't my favourite so I asked if they could make a sauce with cream and no wheat. The answer was no. They make them in the morning in batches of 1,2 and 5 litres so it couldn't be done.

So then one of the other guests who likes his meat with no blood asked if they could butterfly his steak. Again the answer was no but my friend was told it would be nice anyway. I mean how hard is it to slice a steak in half before cooking it to make a customer happy?

So then we asked our waiter if the owner was around and he said yes he was in the kitchen. So we asked the waiter if we could speak to the owner as we found the manager arrogant. Anyway after a while the manager arrived and said he heard we found him arrogant and offered a half hearted apology and said I could have a monkey gland sauce (which I don't like). So he said their sauce was different and I would like it and I could have it for free. Anyway I didn't particularly like it.

Then 2 of our party had the fillet between the sheets and thier prawns tasted bitter/off so they didn't/couldn't eat them.

While I can accept that they can't always accommodate some requests e.g. Perhaps they don't have cream (not that we were told us that was the reason) there is no reason why they can't cut a steak in half. So the whole experience was very disappointing.

Wow wow wow. Attention to detail from the minute you walk in there till you leave. Food was fantastic! Keep up the good work guys.

Great cuisine. Great ambiance. Friendly staff. Must mention special person Lerina for outstanding service.

Food is always of the best quality. The specials need special mention, since the way it is presented and then served, is out of this world. Thanx Fundi for a great lunch.

Pachas is amazing! The Oxtail is out of this world and the service is next level! Would definitely recommend!

We had a first class experience in this restaurant. The quality of the food & the presentation thereof was superb. Lynette was a super host very attentive & friendly. We'll be back.

Pachas is an old favourite of ours. We visited the new premises for the first time last night and had a romantic anniversary dinner. The food was exquisite, service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was classy and intimate.
I can definitely recommend the springbok carpaccio starter, it is delicious!
