30Great traditional Portuguese food in a landmark setting. And if it wasn't already packed with character, look up at all the ties hanging from the ceiling.clearly a signal that the business lunch is officially over!

Great vibe and awesome service. The food was decidedly average however. We were told it was the best Portuguese food in JHB but sadly it was very average.
I lived in La Rochelle for 25 years until my husband died 5 years ago.
Parreirinha is THE go to restaurant and they do have massive good ratings with food critics et al.
And I do believe a few short years ago they where under the top 20 restaurants listed in South Africa in a travel magazine.

The Food was great. Atmosphere great. One of the very few restaurants still in business for many years and the quality still great.
Food was overcooked, and like rubber. The rice was good and the bread roll. We ordered the starter platter and the seafood platter. Will not recommend.
High Quality food. Everything cooked/grilled to perfection. Fresh and succulent. Portions are large-couldnt finish. We took doggy bags. Awesome and friendly waiters. It is situated in a not so nice area BUT there are car guards outside. Dont be put off with area. The food is really outstanding and a must try!
Wow, we had a fantastic time eating.drinking and chilling, the food was amazing, our waiter was a very busy guy waiting on a few tables, but he never forgot us, checking and making sure all was good and our food order arrived in good time and spot on. Well done guys we will be back soon. Thanks for a wonderful time
