Restaurant VILAKAZI

They poured a milk shake in a wine class and corrected it after complaining about it. Outside of that i like the place.

The lamb was excellent and the curries were a taste of Africa on one plate. Safe parking lot across the street at the defunct Box Shop location. Clean toilet and no street hawkers bother you.

They are slow in serving us with the drinks and we were a big group and told we are making noise at a birthday celebration.

It was great, the service exceptionally was exceptional we had a hard time understanding our first server so they sent us another one (Thabi) she was friendly and tried her best to make us feel welcomed. Other than that the food was in a league its own, I highly recommend the beef burgers and mogoudu.

Food was horrible. Engaged the chef as well as the service attendant about but they were helpless as the owner was not present.

This one of the best experiences I ever had with my family at VILAKAZI restaurant friendly staff they sort you out with great hospitality great African cuisine and I must say that I will be going back to them when I am back in jozi with the family thanks to the owner that even come great the family and that was for me a full family service from the VILAKAZI RESTAURANT. THANKS GUYS YOU WILL BE SEEING ME AGAIN

The service is amazing, however the food is highly priced considering the portions and how less of an effort is made on presentation of the plate.

Has a great view of the vibrant street and you can see Mandela house from the outside veranda. Great food and the drinks are reasonably priced. They have local artist coming through the restaurant performing. The have an in house dj making music

Food is divine. Its not too crowded. Theres parking close by. The place is clean and thw staff knows the meaning of good customer service. Love this place

A good restaurant with a nice ambience. Two suggestions I have for the owner/ manager. Security is vital, they should consider having a security guard at the entrance just to keep an eye on patrons. On the day I was there, a tourist's bag was stolen while they were seated and dining. A guy came into the restaurant and went straight to their table to chat with them. He didn't know them and they didn't know him either. Within a minute or two of chating to them, whatever it was he was saying to them, after he left, their bag was gone! The poor tourists had a bad experience when they though they were safe. Also, they need to put the signage " mind your step" at the relevant areas that require such signage. These you find as you move from the patio area towards the inside, and near the toilets. Otherwise the place is great.

Nice chilled environment parking space more than anything for me is service which i got exactly that and loved it and the soft music in the background was a bonus while watching tv outside

Great place, great food, great vibe. I was a little disappointed with the service but the overall experience was great.
